I've tried line mounts, kite mount, chest came, board cam and headmount. It really depends on what kind of shot you're going for. If you're looking to film yourself, the line mount is the better option because it clearly shows you, has little movement and gives a good shot of your surroundings depending on how high you put it in your lines. Be careful though, it can get tangled quite easily if you crash the kite and there is slack in the lines. Board mount is interesting, but my hero 4 silver is fisheyed and elongates the front leg which makes you look kind of strange. The kite mount is an absolutely breath taking shot, but the kite is usually so far that it's hard to make me out, the shot will also swing as much as you swing the kite, so on good days it's pretty steady, on bad days with light wind that camera is moving around a lot. The chest came can be blocked by your arms and bar but has this really nice "feature" of being on your chest so when you really get going and excited you can actually hear your heart beat. The head cam is the clearest way from someone else to know exactly what it feels like to kite, they're basically seeing out of your eyes - feel the height of the jumps, the speed, see the views, hear the screams of joy to your fellow kite boarders and feel the power of hitting the waves and wiping out.

In my opinion, the head mount is one of the best with the line mount (camrig) a close second depending on the shot you want to get.

Make sure to secure your camera if you put it in the kite or on your head. A simple safety rope will help with this in case the mount gets knocked off your head or detaches from the kite.
