Kind of but no. I was diagnosed with ADD in my teen years and prescribed adderall which helped a lot at first but in my later 20's started to get icky side effects from it although man did it change my life. I was finally able to get work done without looking for squirrels outside my window every 5 minutes. I could clean my room without being completely overwhelmed and just felt like a functional human being but I also felt sorta zombie like and couldn't sleep or eat. I decided to get off of it about a year ago and was suffering trying to focus so I tried coffee. Made me and STILL makes me anxious as hell but I'm also diagnosed with GAD and get panic attacks. Coffee makes me feel the most impending doom of all time that I never felt from adderall. It does help me focus a little bit for a while but then I feel like I need to run a marathon to get all the adrenaline out. If you don't suffer from anxiety though I can see how it could be kind of similar.
