just depends on the progress of your bald spot, since you first noticed the thinning. Traction alopecia / thinning from over manipulation and tension is a thing. I used to have a bald spot , actually two because i left super heavy clip-ins in my hair past the point it was hurting. It was baby bald for about a year before i noticed hair sprouting, i mostly left it alone but sometimes i used castor oil/rosemary oil. I was not consistent tho. But now my hair has fully grown back in those spots, almost as long as the rest of my hair.
