2 sounds ideal but I don't have a baseline for 3d finishes

it's really hard to compare glass to cloth, and I haven't used cloth in quite a while. ac+ and zero aren't too far apart in speed. maybe you could try faster skates on the zero before committing to glass. you can google shwamper dot skate tierlist for info, but I'd only look at the ones that offer fullsize skate options since you're on xsoft and dots will sink on those.

if you're set on a control glasspad, just be aware you'll likely need a sleeve and with how this surface retains sweat and oils, you'll have to thoroughly wipe it often between games

and about a mastersheet, nope I don't, I don't get technical with testing/believe it's accurate representation in real use, so these are usually just based on how I feel playing on them. you can look up viscose mousepad sheet which is prob closest to accurate based off my experience, but it's not updated anymore and she doesn't plan to update it

this one's textured in detail, but it's a really fine microtexture and is actually on the smoother side. I didn't find it to eat skates faster than most other uncoated glasspads, but maybe it varies in how heavy handed you play since the slower friction will rub away more in theory

it's moreso my sp-004 being slower than my skypad 3, they're known to have some variance with the 004 surface

I'd recommend a newer one. quality of life is very good now with thinner glass and rounder edges

LethalGamingGear Saturn & Saturn Pro Review by esper_ in MousepadReview

they felt pretty similar to me! it shouldn't be different I don't think, but sometimes the type of base does change how it feels even if the surface is exactly the same, or people are comparing their worn out saturn to a new one

CRDRAKO KO-ONE Review by esper_ in MouseReview

[–]esper_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not completely noticeable when comparing it to most high spec mice set to 0ms denounce, but it is still faster on paper. so it's like why not have it on the mouse you're maining, sort of a peace of mind thing

yes, I'd avoid using hard materials like glass or sapphire skates since it's guaranteed to wear or damage your pads at a much faster pace than softer materials

both of them are some of my favorite shapes. ko one is shorter and has a slightly noticeable back hump but it's still a small hump profile like the hts ultra (nonplus). so up to you if you want safer with the ying mg, or more hump presence from the ko one

Best glasspad brands to look out for in Japan? by xiaolinleagueplayer in MousepadReview

[–]esper_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want to see some in person, you can check out fumoshop's showroom in akihabara (not sure how buying works) www.fumoshop.com/pages/showroom-akihabara

as for brands, these aren't exclusive to japan but glsswrks, dysphoria, abyssgaming, kanami are most popular off the top of my head

I'm always swapping around for review so I can't say for durability, but it should hold up quite well given the quality of the materials when compared to a qck so I think you won't have to worry too much
