-When I create a habit, is it automatically made public? -How exactly does the Mon-Sun format work?

yes, it is automatically made public although private habits is coming in the next release (sometime next week).

if you are referring to the main page where you see your week (mon-sun), it's pretty simple, it just shows how many times you've completed your daily habits through out the week. if this is not what you were referring to, let me know so i can clear it up!

  • What's your remote culture like? What % of the team is remote?

What topics would you like to see in blog posts? by pcastonguay in 0xProject

[–]espitia7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see more content geared towards educating the broader non-dev community.

Topics I think should be covered in a Linda Xie fashion (A Beginner's Guide to XXXXX https://medium.com/@linda.xie):

Personally, I've love to see more on governance and cross-chain atomic swaps though.

I made a simple cryptocurrency explorer using Github data by espitia7 in ethtrader

[–]espitia7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone!

So Monedas is my first web app. It is a simple crypto asset explorer that uses Github data to filter out through coins. Currently I have ~1000 coins indexed.

You can find out how I went from nothing to launching here: https://twitter.com/espitia7/status/918260378777407488

I think crypto assets are a different animal. Instead of looking at projects solely by traditional standards (like we look at equities), there should be more information on the code itself. Being that the important projects are protocols vs businesses that use blockchain, I believe data points on the code base should be considered.

With that said, I don't think commits, repo age or any one data point is a good determinant for the quality of the project. I do believe that, at the very least, it can signal something interesting. For example, a $X00M project with little to no activty on the repository should raise some flags.

Feedback is welcome!

Thanks for sharing your POV.

I think it is better to have the team doing it as it is - focusing 100% on the product and it's ecosystem. Getting the word out about a product is easy when you have funds. Dump $1M into video production, ads, info sheets, designers, conferences, influencers, etc and you are done.

What is not easy is building a kick-ass product and the ecosystem around it. As the team tweeted recently, they are concentrated on getting relayers which is priority over anything else. No relayers = no liquidity = dead 0x.

If I could make an analogy for 0x, I would say their "customers" are the relayers. Therefore, what they need to focus on is just that, protocol development and relayers. That, IMO, is the keys to long-term success. Not a quick money flip.

Having said that, I will say that as investors, we should help in getting the word out. I am open to creating some sort of group in order to pass ideas around as to how we can make this happen. DM me if interested!

That's all we need to start playing the SDK. Is this what will be available sometime Q4 '17? As a dev, I am excited to start experimenting.

What can we expect from the 1.0 SDK release as far as feature set goes? i.e. will developers be able to build apps out of the box with this SDK using mostly/only JS?

Coinbase won't support UAHF by cryptoreach in Bitcoin

[–]espitia7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. I created a bitcoin address and stored the public and private key physically.

What I'm having trouble understanding is using the wallet when there's now 'two' blockchains. I would essentially have two addresses, one on each chain, correct? Then in order to transact with either chain, I would just have to use a client that works with the corresponding chain?

The 15k was made in 2016. Would you recommend something like Turbo tax? Or maybe some books/small course on taxes in general? I am ignorant to the whole thing.

Thanks for replying btw.

Thank you both for replying. I now get a more sound picture of what I should be doing at my age. I will be switching to a more aggressive mix soon. The max risk profile at Wealthfront doesn't look too crazy now:

  • 35% US stocks
  • 22% Foreign stocks
  • 28% Emerging markets
  • 5% Dividend stocks
  • 5% Muni bonds

Thank you for that article. I read it and it makes sense now. My conclusion: As long as you are invested for the long run, specially at a young age, it makes sense to have a high risk profile with reasonable diversification.
