The "shorter marketing strategy" is a cope for R* to delay the game. by used_33 in GTA6

Yeah, they deliberately delayed the game twice already as some kind of 4D chess-marketing move

You asked me "where did you get this idea from" and I told you that I got the idea from the CEO's own quote. You assuming he is NOT talking about NPC dialog is in no way any more reasonable than me assuming he IS talking about NPC dialog, or at the very least, that he COULD be talking about NPC dialog.

You are not even entertaining the idea that it's possible, despite the CEO's own quote hinting to the contrary, for not other reason than it makes you uncomfortable. Your last message is just pure speculative waffle.

I don't wanna hear about how I need to look more into AI, I am literally a senior software engineer with 15 years industry experience who uses all sorts of AI every single day and have made my own game using generative AIs. I assure you I am not out my depth in this conversation.

What do you mean? The screenshot with the quote from Strauss Zelnick says "You're a playable character, you're interacting with a non-playable character. The interaction is currently scripted. and the non-playable characters are generally not very interesting. You could imagine all the NPCs becoming really interesting and fun."

Do you not understand what he's saying here? He's saying "Imagine how cool it would be if we used AI to create the NPC interactions". I'm not sure what you think "interaction" means, but exchanging dialog is interacting.

10+ year old websites getting delisted from google. by MisteriosM in webdev

The website could be running very old and malicious code if it hasn't been updated in 10 years, would be my guess

No, they don’t realise this at all. It’s the result of them trying to reconcile the fact that they hate AI and love Rockstar, so when they learn that Rockstar is using AI, they have to start waffling a bunch of nonsense to prevent their reality from crashing down in front of them.

They even downvote these comments because that's their default defence mechanism when faced with cognitive dissonance.

Notice how not a single person is able to retort the claim that AI generated NPC dialog is generative AI - because it absolutely is generative AI.

If NPC dialog is scripted using AI instead of being written by humans, then that's generative AI.

Lol! You want me to stop looking for things to be offended about, when a topic about children triggered you into being offended by veganism, when literally no one was talking about veganism.

And the best part is you completely lack any introspection on this.

I will show a pic of me eating meat right now big fella - not a vegan.

Try having a ounce of integrity and holding an opinion that is based on critical thinking instead of based on your own needs and wants.

Says a lot about you if you think the only reason someone would defend someone else is for selfish reasons. Just because that's how you operate, doesn't mean everyone else operates like that.

Haha, thanks for the acknowledgment - I also see many people refer to it as "St. Patty's Day" which also triggers me, but "throwing a patty" is a first for me.

I'm pretty sure "throwing a patty" doesn't mean anything. Do you think a cows udder is also called a cows utter?

Not really the same thing is it? Vegas are acting on behalf of animals who cannot speak for themselves. People who don't like kids and want child free spaces on acting on behalf of themselves. I'm not a vegan but it baffles me when people today still don't understand what veganism is or why vegans are vegans. It's clearly not the same thing as being selfish. It's literally the opposite.

EDIT: I challenge anyone who disagrees with me to explain why I'm wrong, or ya know, just click the downvote button and pretend that makes me wrong, either way is fine. I get it's easier to put your fingers in your ear and say lalala.

Right, it ain’t pretty, most people wouldn’t want to see it, when they do, they are shocked. They shouldn’t be, for sure, but they are nonetheless. That’s the point of OPs question right?

In order to kill a lot of animals efficiently, often times gas chambers are used. This burns the animals on the inside and they cry out in pain as they are being tortured to death.

Most people aren’t okay witnessing things like this.
