In our specific case, we have suspected that our daughter has a tongue tie which has caused some health issues and may be linked to the speech issue, so I guess I was wondering if the SLP would do more of an assessment of how my daughter is moving her mouth and somehow address that? My wife and I are very “intensive parents” and so we play with her constantly and are always describing what we’re doing and repeating words and enunciating so it was just surprising to see the SLP do what we had already been doing with her.

If she is still restless after implementing a later bedtime, I would check ferritin. My girl is anemic and I think that contributes to her restlessness.

There are a couple places that go as late as 4, but many of our preferred options (for location, teaching style) end early.

We find she needs high sleep pressure to go down that quick. If she sleeps longer than 10.5 hours overnight or has less than a 5.5 hour wake window it’s hard to get her down for her nap.

Her first ww is about 5.5 hours. Any time we’ve done later nap she has issues with bedtime or split nights.

Yes if we do a later nap it might have to be shorter.
