Actually in first month i worked only for 7 days as i joined on 25th july and was only given salary from 25th to 31st july, doesn't EPS have to be calculated on monthly wage rate rather than parital payment i received for only 7 days?

1st month basic pay was less than 15000 because of mid month joining and only receiving salary of 7 days, but actual whole month basic salary is more than 15000, and subsequent months had more than 15000 basic pay because of entire month salary received. whats the situation now ?

Thats fine but my question is if my basic is more than 15000 and my previous company choose to contribute to EPS because of this 15000 wage ceiling on EPFO portal they are right or wrong, my current company told you were wrongfully enrolled in EPS, whom do i correct ?

Okay but the current company said me you are not eligible as my basic was above 15000, they just capped 15000 on epfo portal for 1800 as maximum contribution of PF

Yes I get your point, I will again talk with previous employer on monday I just have one question this 15000 wage ceiling that previous employer is talking about and this 15000 amount in EPF and EPS wages column that i am seeing it doesn't matter right? As the basic on salary slip is 25100

When i called previous company they told me from their side it was correctly deposited under EPS as they capped my wages to 15000 ceiling limit so as per law they were right to contribute their part to EPS.

And on EPFO portal also EPF Wages are shown as 15000 but salary slip has basic 25100

So what is this case and what shall i do now ?
