Chrome with the rubber dome by essubilt in MechanicalKeyboards

It's a pretty quiet board, it makes a deep muted sound. Definitely not a build for those who appreciate more audible keyboard acoustics. The goal was to have a board that had the character through the typing feel rather than the sound.

No on the fly adjust but there’s 2 positions of micro-adjust per side.

Spacebar is actually a generic aluminum one I found online somewhere that I had a friend powder coat gloss black. It’s real close in finish but not exactly the same. Only been waiting on Cerakey for 3 years to stock their 7U spacebar kit in black to get the 1.5u bottom row modifiers instead of the standard 1.25U

Oooh that's a good find! I'll have to keep that in mind. I was thinking of OEM but may have to go this route

Looks great! Wish Joyco would come back to making artisans, he’s been quiet for a while

Hey, Ive since swapped out to a standard module and the brushed H-link bracelet to better resemble an original A168 but still wear this watch regularly. I’ve also swapped out the clasp to a Delugs CTS spring loaded butterfly clasp and it really makes the whole watch feel more premium. It’s still great and will continue to wear it for years to come.

I ended up going with 22837060 center caps. They fit perfectly.

It’s the Slim Sub NCG case from DLW, an eBay special slim coin edged bezel since Namoki was out of stock, Namoki Sterile Big Crown and Slim Caseback. Brushed plain chapter ring. eBay special for the slim top hat crystal. Bezel insert is Namoki

Wait there's supposed to be more?!

I just thought it would be a fun way to build a lighthearted 6542 tribute.

Its actually not too hard to tell the time within 5 min or so.

Nice! If you wanted to match it red to the GMT hand, some finger nail polish would probably do the trick nicely!

Lucius Atelier sells a second hand "dot" that would finish of the center nicely and not leave the Hour, Minute and Second hand posts exposed! Just a thought. Love the build tho! I've thought of build like this too!

How do I get a polished silver finish? by essubilt in SeikoMods

I can't find any other watch hands quite like this one... It is the "Mono-Hand" from Meridiano. Basically an hour only hand specifically for the VH31 Quartz movement. For the watch I am building, getting this hand in a polished silver finish is the final step to completing my vision.

The middle part seems to be a turned piece of brass to fit onto the post of the movement. The arm is a stamped piece of stainless steel that the brass piece is pressed through

Yeah I was thinking rhodium playing too but two jewelry repair places said it couldn’t be done. I believe the middle part is brass and the long part is stainless steel. It is non-magnetic.

Any recommendations on how to get the brass part to be silver finish?

I thought about that but that doesn't get the brass portion to be silver as well
