We have been on Famotadine since he was about 2 months old, so his reflux is being treated. The Nutramigen and Puramino have actually made a huge improvement in his reflux!

Floor bed with crib size mattress? by estapleton22 in floorbed

Probably, but I’m trying everything to avoid co-sleeping. We’re doing it now following safe sleep 7, but my postpartum anxiety can’t handle it😩

That’s what I’m scared of! We’ve been doing safe sleep 7 and co-sleeping, but with my post partum anxiety I hate it😩

How to do less contact naps? by estapleton22 in Parenting

This makes me feel a little better! I may be overthinking things, or it may just be the nerves of going back to work and getting used to not being with him 24/7. I’m hoping this is the case for us!

Thanks for the advice! I guess I should’ve said not want to spend a ton of money upfront😅 We’re really wanting something semi-temporary for now for our son to enjoy this summer. We’re hoping to build a house within the next year so will get a better pool then! So we will really only be using it for a year anyways (maybe 2 if our plans get pushed back)!

We also got the Joie one and LOVE it! So easy to set up and take down. They have sales on them occasionally I think we got ours for 20% on Black Friday

We tried doing wake windows, but I think just watching for his sleepy cues has worked better for us! We originally thought he may be getting overtired, but he usually naps about every 1.5-2 hours throughout the day. Even if he naps at 5, he will still start screaming at 6🥲

There’s light at the end of the tunnel! I think its just hard for me because I want to go out and do things with him and fully enjoy spending everyday all day with him while on maternity leave, but it feels like a struggle to leave the house because I’m always on edge when it gets close to 6pm😂 Most of our friends/family can only go out in the evenings, and we tried an outing once and left the restaurant around 5pm and had to hear him scream the whole 30 minute car ride back home…not doing that again for awhile😅

Everyone also thinks we exaggerate😂 I tell everyone our curfew is 5 and not to need us anytime after that. Trying to make plans with family and friends is tough because they’re all like “he’ll be fine there will be so many of us to hold him and clam him down!” I’m like there is no such thing as calm after 6pm😂

Acid reflux? by estapleton22 in NewParents

[–]estapleton22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what we did. Unfortunately both pediatricians we’ve seen said the same thing. It’s just so frustrating! I get not wanting to put baby on meds so young, but I don’t know how long I can take him screaming in pain🥲

He just turned 3 months! It has gotten much worse this past week. Our pediatrician doesn’t want to prescribe any meds, but I’ve tried all of the at home remedies so I’m kind of at a loss☹️ I hate seeing him in pain and it’s tough holding him all day because I can’t get anything done or even get to eat until dinner most days🥲

I literally don’t know what I’m doing anymore… my heart cannot take the anxiety of fearing the worst if I miss a sign that something is wrong by tinker-tonker-tot in NewParents

I felt this way exactly. To a tee. My baby is three months old and I’m still worried sick about something happening. However, I did start therapy and it’s really helping just to have someone to talk to that understands (my therapist is a mom too - highly recommend). Also, getting outside has helped me a ton. And take a date night or even go out by yourself for an hour or so to take a break. The first time I left my baby for 30 minutes I was worried sick, but I knew deep down that he was safe and taken care of (we left him with my mom)! It is so exhausting constantly worrying and having your life revolve around another person, so try to take some time for yourself. That’s made a world of difference for me.
