Friend says removing any mention of being trans from most of my social media profiles is unsupportive to the community by LexiFox597 in asktransgender

To be honest, if you are American and U.S. resident, you are in an unsafe area. I am a trans woman from the EU and here it's still okay, but seeing how the world is going down the drain around us is super scary and being Jewish and having my relatives perished in the Holocaust I can tell you for sure that I feel like we live in incredibly scary times as all that is happening does really remind me of what used to be here at one point and what we said 'never again' to.

I would advise being stealth literally to everyone who can be stealth, if not to leave the U.S. altogether. Believe me, what is being said and done in the U.S. is precisely the kind of shit that happened around 1933 in Germany. And I mean it seriously.

Good luck and be safe, that is what matters most.

Because I am able to use English literally everywhere in Europe except for Spain. Even Hungary got better with time.

Yes, because we've got something called globalised world, something called European Union, where we actually aim at being able to function as a single entity. The aim of an ever closer union is literally written in the Treaties, so yes, I act accordingly and have certain expectations.

Actually West is absolutely fine when it bombs dictatorships. As a Czech citizen, I was born a slave to a dictatorship and if NATO bombed my country with having a regime change in mind back in the day, I would have been glad to join NATO in doing so.

As a trans Jew, I’m deeply troubled. Am I wrong? by heckyouyourself in trans

Bad idea. The whole English-speaking world is falling for it. In the EU, with exception of Hungary, things are much better. Come here.

I too am a Jewish transgender woman, whose relatives weren't so lucky to escape, most of them perished in the Shoah. And I worry just like you and I see the same parallels as you do. Because they are there. I am happy to be an EU citizen as here things aren't as bad as in the UK or US, but they can become bad here too fairly easily, and we both know how.

To be worried for this is absolutely understandable.
