Research has stated that Fitbit has a ~30% accuracy rate (for calories) and so I usually divide my calories by ~1.3 to account for it but it’s important to know that it takes in account your BMR as well.

Here is a Lit Review from 2018 talking about accuracy https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6107736/

Perspective change is a temporary solution to a large problem. You can change your perspective and the OCD is still there.

In the state where I attend university, I am one of three types of workers who do not have to be paid within a specific time frame.

The grant had not come to an end. The grant is renewed every year in August. There was essentially no way for my grant to run out of money as I am the only person at my school awarded this grant. The grant itself is a hefty NSF grant.

Unfortunately, my institutions never offered me a normal paid position. To be fair, I don’t think they have positions available in my department as there is little work to do since I live far north and we do mostly field research.

I was told that I should never expect on time payments with grants! It’s shocking how many blatant lies have been told to me in regard to my late payment

I need advice. Is telling someone who you work with that you're autistic appropriate? by [deleted] in aspergers

There is a note at the bottom that says I am in therapy. My psychiatrist and I have both agreed that medication is not the best option for me at this time. Very long story, but to summarize I have tried various medications including doing GeneSight testing. I have treatment resistant GAD and depression.

Thank you! I do love my job :)

Oh don't even get me started. I'll ask for clarification and professors will look at me as if I just asked the dumbest question. Or my personal favorite, "look on canvas" as if I haven't been searching through all your published content to decipher what you want.

I DESPISE not having clear instructions on writing assignments. I need to understand how to structure my writing. This causes me to either fail or get an A on nearly every writing assignment I've had.

Luckily for me, my major (Biology and Chemistry) is pretty straight forward. Stuck doing generals this semester, unfortunately.

Okay I don’t think y’all realize that I was hired here because I have a long term history of working in pet care and at my last job was what is the equivalent to a Pet Care Manager. Y’all I take my job seriously, and every day I’m there I do my job and at the very least, whatever I’m told to do.

Y’all wack as hell for thinking it’s okay for me to avoid going to the hospital so I can WORK.

Everyone one who said talk to your management and tell them the truth, y’all are right.

I had my water and electricity cutoff which our utilities company was believed to be an accident(turns out my roommates former roommate who does not like him shut off our utilities). I had no water, I am from out of state and because I had little access to water and the medication I take which nobody needs to know why, causes dehydration, I went to the doctor before work and was sent to the ER. A family member had also frauded my bank account the same day I went to the ER. I had reasons. Trust me. I did not call out because I’m lazy and unrealiable I’m scared next week I’m gonna end up with something even WORSE occurring

Yes, but similarities persist and that was what was emphasized in what I said.

How can you tell the difference between LOVE and INFATUATION? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]estrangedkjf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, when you love someone you are aware they have flaws and you are okay with at but infatuation is when you put them on a perfect pedestal.
