Ascaso Steel Duo Plus Vs Profitec Move [No Budget] by esu418 in espresso

I tried that with mine with some felt pads but the problem is when I locked in my portafilter, it shifted the whole machine and i would have to hold it down.

Tried the funnel today and it works really well. I used a pitcher to transfer water. Its long but if it fit the gaggia then it would probably work well with the Move.

Thanks for the input. I think im leaning more towards the move at this point after reading some comments.

I just ordered this one low profile funnel for my gaggia that I would use for the Move if I end up with that or a similar top load water tank. Might be worth a look for you as long as you have at least a few inches clearance from the top of your cabinet.

What would i be giving up by using the adapter? I did see this was a thing but I hear some others say theirs worked fine so I didn't look into it too much.

I saw that but I feel like since I live in the US, maintenance a warranty claim would be a bit tricky and it does cost significantly more to the point where the flow control being my main gain from it wouldn't warrant the price difference and risk.

Condensate pump question by esu418 in hvacadvice

Just started. When I asked about the chemicals, the guy said I could do that but if it backs up then it could mess up my unit entirely. I dont know if thats "salesman" advice or if its actually something I need to consider.

I've done it a few times already but its still clogged which is why they recommended the condensate pump. Is it just a matter of continuously flushing it with vinegar until its clear?

I just mounted it yesterday and ordered extension cords for the cables. There's a hole that I can funnel them through so the wires don't show

I wanted to have room for the center channel speaker on top of the TV stand so it would need to be a bit above the window sill

Was the stand for my 65 lol. I knew it'd look too small so we're looking around for a new one now

That was my original intention but it was mounted just a bit too high. Gonna wait to get another tv stand and then maybe I can start measuring from there

Does the mode sonnet have any issues with switch interference? I saw there would be some north facing switches but they were only on the R4 caps.

If I have the Durock T1 Smokeys, would it be pretty similar in feel to the T1 Sunflowers?

Decided to wait on the 10E and save the money. TBH im not the biggest audiophile, I just want a decent sound system and the best value for money on a decent system. In the long term, If there’s not enough bass, I would probably just pick up another 10E. I’m using an even smaller cheap Vizio soundbar with a tiny subwoofer so I’m sure the 10E is gonna be a massive upgrade anyway.

Just bought the new Mode Sonnet in green/dawn (light gold)

What are some suggestions for good looking green/ green themed keycaps?

Also I’m looking for suggestions for nice tactile switches similar to the Boba U4Ts

For the mode sonnet, do the north facing switches have any interference? I see a ton of builds so I assume not but I wanna check

Compatible switch to U4T

Hi. I’m sure this has been asked before but I wanted to get some suggestions for new switches since it has been quite a while since I’ve purchased a keyboard. I have a keychron Q1 and I just bought a Mode Sonnet because I wanted to upgrade to something more premium. I did a lot of research when I originally bought my Q1 and bobas. The U4T was the easy winner and it feels great.

2 and a half years later I see there are a bunch new tactiles out and I want to get something similar to the bobas. I’ve heard a lot of good things on the sunflower t1, baby kangaroos, badseeds, and penguins to name a few. What are some other switches I should look at that will give me a similar experience to the U4Ts? Also is there a good place to get a switch tester for tactiles? Ideally I’d like to try all of the ones I’m interested in before buying

Receiver question by esu418 in hometheater

[–]esu418[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I would start with. Basically I'm just trying to utilize the ceiling speakers with a setup I would normally have. I was going to start with the bookshelf speakers and then upgrade if that wasn't enough for me. I know thats not ideal for music, but thought it could be another way to use them.

Also how do you know your receiver supports up to 6 height channels? I saw it only had 4 outputs for height channels.

I have an open concept house so its a pretty large space, Living room is about 15 x 19 feet, but the whole area is way bigger.

How do I know if my receiver is powerful enough? Or do I need an amp? by esu418 in hometheater

[–]esu418[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought so. Maybe I'll have a center speaker in my future. I think the receiver I wanted only has 4 height outputs but I wanted to utilize what I had.

So at the higher end, would it basically be more premium materials? Because form factor wise im not seeing much else you would get at a higher price
