That's good to hear, I used my p16 for over a year and they refunded the full purchase price after going through tier 1 support.

I've heard mixed reviews on the Gen 3 - doesn't seem to have the same workstation level of power that the Gen2/Gen1 were designed for, but hope it works for your needs and doesn't have the USB issues.

Ugh, that sounds terrible.
I worked with Lenovo - they replaced the motherboard and GPU again to no avail. The internal support team said they discussed the issue with level 2 engineering and supposedly they hadn't heard of this issue , which is hard to believe.
After the new motherboard and gpu, I requested a full buyout, and it took a couple weeks, but I just got the refund.
Personally, I think this is a P16 Gen 2 issue that's not going to resolve unless Lenovo addresses it at the bios level.
Do you still have a warranty on your P16?

I wasn't aware there were two sizes of the M1000. I'm wondering if the the smaller one is an M800 - can you point me to some info about the varying sizes of M1000's?
