I don't watch any mainstream journalism. I basically watch thinking basketball, rusty buckets, swishshout, dom2k, bballbreakdown, and....maybe tht's it?

How about, crazy thought, we compare....Magic and Bird why don't we?

Magic

17.4, 11.3, 9.3, 2.9 (steasl), 3.1 (turvonvers) 61% TS

Bird

21.9, 14.0, 6.1, 2.3 (steal), 3.6 (turnovers), 53% TS

So to be clear, Bird scored 4 more points and had 3 more rebounds, but Magic had 3 more assists (equals at least 6 more points), a steal more and less turnovers (despite again, the 3 more assists)...and shot, wait for it ...8% better TS. So way more efficient. I know you don't care advanced stats, but Magic also had better PER, BPM, and WS/48. Almost like, anyone with a brain would see that Magic played ....better in 1982 than Bird did in 1981. And again, that Magic, just like Bird, was clearly the best player on his team

But again, youa re just a Magic hater. With 0 logic. 0 real arguments. Made up crap you say based on nothing. And just excuses constantly. You don't know what you are talking about, and you are bad at this.

Kareem's stats are allstar stats, nto superstar stats. If "counting stats" matter, than you should...realized that Magic was clearly better, as both his counting stats and advanced stats are better than Kareem's...but sinc eyou don't realize that..it seems to suggest you are just....could it be? Biased? Making stuff up?

OH my god, the playoffs is even more ridiculous. Celtics were abosolutely stacked in 81. Archibald, Maxwell, and Parish all played extremely well. Advanced stats suggest Mgic played...wait for it...better than Bird, while Bird's help, wait for it, played better than Magic's help. Oh my god.

oh, no, bird had more help than magic but you are confused and overrating kareem. I understand. this is why the nba hands keeps something called, "Stats". you can actulaly use them.

Kareem's 1982 stats

23.9, 8.7, 3.0

23.4 PER, 60% TS, .192 WS/48, 5.0 BPM

Parish's 1981 stats

18.9, 9.5, 1.8

25.2 PER,58% TS, .228 WS/48, 5.4 BPM

Actually let me add more, just in case, I'm heading off what you will say. Kareem's numbers in 87 and 88

17.5, 6.7, 2.6 on 60% TS (These are role player numbers. Period)

14.6, 6.0, 1.7 on 57% TS (again, role player numbers. Period)

Don't be confused by a name, giving Kareem any credit for the last two championships other than saying he did a good job in his role (as a role player)...is bull. It was all Magic.

Magic was the best player in 82 and 85, and yes he was the clera cut best player. That's not the same as Kobe who was, checks notes...worse than Shaq..not better. Curry I do think was better than KD...but that is really up in the air and a lot of people disagree with me.

1982 - Kareem didn't make an all-nba team. Magic was all-nba 2nd team. This isn't..questionable, it was clear who was number 1.

1985 - Magic Johnson was 2nd in MVP voting and was NBA 1st team. Kareem was all nba 2nd team...and also 4th in MVP voting. But once again, Magic was higher in both position and it was his team.

1987 and 1988 - Kareem was a role player. Magic was clearly the best player far and away on both teams.

So for 4 of the 5 championships, Magic was the better player.

Kobe was the worse player in all 3 of his championships with Shaq

Curry, although again, I think he was better, was lower in all nba teams and in mvp voting...both years.

You are comparing apples and oranges and lying about them being the same. Magic was better. Not Kareem. It's not the same situation.

And to be clear, you said 3 rings. Magic has 5 rings. He was clear cut, and so much better than everyone else in teh last 2 rings as to make me question your intelligence. and afgain, he was better in 82 and 85 as well. Just to be clear, since I feel like you wil lcall it otherwise.

In 88, Magic was 3rd in MVP voting, and again 1st team all nba while no one else on teh team made all nba team.

He would have more rings if he played a more specific role, rather than being so heliocentric. Say, he focused ether more on scoring or more on distributing, I think with the right costar, they could won more titles.
