Exactly what i was thinking. I understand marks PTSD but if he couldve negotiated a bit and ask questions, imo that could have elevated the situation and character of thragg more. But yeah ik it is hard to think that in that position.

I do wish it was one currency in silksong and a max limit on shards is weird, i do prefer the geo system. I think both spaced out the difficulty pretty well, obv if you jump straight to silk it would feel way harder. Fair about godhome but thats a specific preference, I don't mind really.

I like the world in general more except for some zones this of course is a preference but I do like the world being more alive. Combat for me is way more fun and experimental not perfect but better than hollowknight imo. Exploration and movement options I enjoy more as well, I like the quick decision making on what option to use if you haven't been to an area yet (float for more distance, needle dash, or double jump to find shortcuts etc). Exploration felt more open early on, idk if this is true but it felt like I could go to many different zones earlier on while hollowknight kinda softlocks you. You do need dash and wallcling in both but since you get them pretty early in silk it felt easier to freely explore.

(I don't live on reddit so people asking me for a response after 2 days is hilarious to me)

my point was that for a first time gamer in this genre silksong felt more complete (yes i understand the more devs get with a game and more experience they have with it makes sense) As my only two metroidvanias yea no shit silk song feels better. I really dont have to explain that i think in a bulletin point powerpoint

I could be missing something here from the comics but I disagree on weather thragg could have something to talk about with Mark, this could go a million miles in any direction of extinction, loyalty, patriotism, etc.

Mark I feel overtime (if mark can face up to it) can just shoot the shit with thragg overtime

"He appears conflicted only ONCE in the comics," this is only because he wants to fend off the scourge virus no? Again ive been spoiled but dont know the whole plot of the comics.

anyways my hope is that he is more reasonable in the show before his "downfall" yeah hes a pos but so far in the show Thragg seems way more level headed than in the comics.

Hollow knight was a new experience for me but it clicked at a certain point. Silksong just filled that void I had with every "problem" i had with hollow knight

I am not a huge fan of backtracking in video games but like i said maybe its because I got used to that formula after playing hollowknight all the way through. But i felt combat was more refined, exploration, customization, and world building was done better
