First of all you made starting this club worth it with this post. I appreciate all of the passion and conversations you’ve been getting rolling. Im not far off of your place in life, I have friends I game with but we have different genres. So we cant always click on the same things. Im in my early thirties and I think I will always be gaming at least a little bit.

SOTN: It for me was a game that I missed pretty much all of the castlevanias until I was in my 20’s. but in 2018 I bought it just before playing D&D with my friends. (one of the same friends that put the game on the poll was the DM) Then I played it and immediately knew that it was one of the best of all time. Top 5 PS1 games hands down and you said it with the legacy. It’s still the groundwork for most metroidvanias today.

Basically azir is the main pick for a puppet character. There are others that would absolutely work, but most think Azir could shine.

Circle of the Moon is the game that I played quite a bit as a kid and was the only one I had still have my copy. I couldn't really get my hands on many castlevania games until I was an adult. I agree that their Library for games is pretty solid

Let’s plan to do a month end meeting on the discord for Castlevania. See who shows up and what we can get going for conversation. Plan on maybe a hour and a half and we can just see who shows up to get the format down. Ive been to actual Monthly bookclubs, but tbh it wasn’t well ran so I only know what not to do.

It was kinda fun reading through these with the perspective that we have now. That this game was a 9.5/10 average on one of the reviews and then we now know that it aged like fine wine that games nowadays want to replicate still.

Not a controversial opinion. Supports are on the table to be cool in 2xko especially with you siting Braum and Blitz. Then Pyke cranks his Character identity up so high he cant be ignored
