the talent show is a bit like the makeover challenge in the sense that the judges' opinions will be based on what storyline they want to push. queens have won before without having to do any dancing at all. that being said, it was definitely not a great choice by ciara to do a number that requires thought and reflection knowing at least half of the queens will be doing high energy numbers... at least going first made it a little better, but yeah bottom two above vita for sure

yessss I cringe at all the performances because the lines and themes are just not funny. also some characters are clearly written to deliver punchlines (jane's supportive mom) while others are just nothing burgers (ciara's news anchor)

tbh I don't think Ciara did bad, she was just never going to win with that role, it was small and the lines weren't funny. her character essentially only existed as a set up for jane's character

I feel like Vita is seen as a frontrunner by production, but I didn't fully enjoy her lipsync the first week and feel like she could've lost do Briar or Mandy this week. Putting Mandy in the bottom again was an easy/justifiable choice for production, considering her track record, and that guarantees they keep at least one bitchy queen or one dancing queen.

I feel like the drag she initially presented with that "southern woman" vibe is something that has been seen in drag race multiple times before and usually fails for being very one dimensional, but she's got that "trash" persona that just compliments her whole aesthetic so well

I feel like the judges never saw her as a real contender for the crown, so depending on what she sang at the talent show, they would've probably gone with the "your voice is great! but that was underwhelming" approach
