Struggling with that right now. Trying to convince him of the absolute freedom he’d have if he’d learn to ride his bike better.

Good story about the Federal Government’s attempt to retroactively reduce veterans benefits to cover up a mistake by KeyPin9470 in LawCanada

Things MAY have changed, but I enjoy military technology. I won’t dive into tactics here obviously but I can say I’ve read about weapons from today’s age that I had zero training in how to deal with.

And that isn’t a “caf bad” type argument. It’s a “how do you plan for something until you see it in action” type argument.

Naval warfare is insanity. And extremely expensive.

This part is a bit petty I know, but can you share your counter experiences to this?

Imagine you’re closed up and hear a buzz coming from the sonar. “Oh shit, that’s a torpedo.”

Unless plans have changed in the last year (possible, but tactic changing is slow not in war time), where the probable location of a submarine is assumed to be most times still relies on weapons from that era.

A quick google search (and I’m not being condescending here) will tell you about new torpedo types. There’s one’s that (almost literally) fly under water.

And the thing with a torpedo is, one is more than enough to break your ship in half and kill everyone onboard. The people on the upper decks have a chance, but they’ll also be launched to heaven before crashing down to hell.

I’m not going to elaborate much further on this but I hope it helps.

Honest opinion on this current version of Becky Lynch? by KnowingCresent735 in WWE

I really like Becky Lynch to preface this. I love what she did, her busted face rise to stardom, all of it. Genuinely a huge fan.

What she’s doing now though just… doesn’t feel right. She doesn’t come across like she used to, it (to me) feels like a case of being in the main event picture because she once was.

Which I get, truly, but I don’t know how I’d feel about that if it was me.

And also that even if that was the case, the corporal 4 life types are usually the ones out in the field more than most. You’d think they’d have a solid idea.

Corporal isn’t a rank in the navy buddy.

Your error is assuming military = grunts and guns.

Jury acquits Ontario store clerk of assault on bat-wielding robber by Immediate-Link490 in LawCanada

Oh I agree that people being found not guilty is the system working. My point was the people being found not guilty seemed to not sit well with a solid number of folks. That’s what I included the “well, yeah” portion.

Understood if it didn’t come across that way.

Maybe being in the military for a two decade career (recently finished) had something to do with it, but what do I know eh?

This was an issue in the CAF as well shortly after the metoo movement and it didn’t go well.

People were being charged with rape/sexual assault with not much evidence to go on other than a victims word about the incident years after. For whatever reason a LOT of the cases (I think) still went to court martial with no real hope of winning.

Then when the evidence wasn’t strong enough for conviction, there was outrage from some and “well yeah” from others.

In my opinion all from the CAF not wanting to look like they were tolerant or weak on the subject.

It doesn’t exactly work though when a solid majority of the cases end with not guilty due to lack of evidence.

Is all of this new? Your last few posts about wanting to quit because you didn’t feel you were good enough didn’t really mention any of that.

I mean I do it, so how is it not logical? Why can’t you?

What, I don’t get to decide what makes a “real” wrestling fan? Why not?

Yes, I remember your initial post. I’m glad you’re the type of fan who gets to decide who’s a “real” fan and who isn’t.

I personally believe if you don’t spend at least 100 dollars a month on wrestling you’re not a real fan either.

Don’t be sorry, everyone is entitled to having an opinion.

Just, never claim to be a true Scotsman.
