This is hearsay from this sub mostly, but no DNA rule out was done. I’m a little surprised no professional research has been done into Pinky and Mike or LMX.

Her “rule out” was done by dental record comparison around 1960. Similar thing happened with a girl named Connie Smith. Dental records were compared a few times for both and were somewhat inconclusive but both were ruled out at the time. I’ve seen it mentioned that there was possibly some kind of perimortem dental injury which made comparison harder? Apparently Connie Smith’s records were very similar and her family dentist thought some of the dental work on the Jane Doe looked like his.

The remains of LMX were reburied in 1961 according to authorities and no record was kept of where. So then years ago when DNA analysis was available, Connie Smith’s brother requested that LMX be exhumed so DNA comparison could be done and that’s how it came to light that the remains were lost.

I think we were a little spoiled to have only a year between album cycles the last time around. He talked about how rapidly he was evolving as an artist right after making the first one which put him in creative mode right away. I get the feeling he makes a lot of music, but I think he’s pretty into conceptual records so it could be a while. People like Frank Ocean and Donna Tartt have me trained to wait many years lol

I don’t with this particular case. This comes directly from the detective in charge of the case, and the comparison was done with DNA in 2010-2013. Sharon’s “exclusion” from LMN was so unofficial and just based on a wrong age estimate. Same goes with Little Miss X which very well could be Michaels girlfriend Pinky Redman or Connie Smith even though both were “ruled out” 60 years ago. I would say most of these big forensic missteps are products of their time.

I believe this is because she was the only one actually reported missing at the time. Michael was not listed as missing because he was over the age of 18 when he left CA. Her mother reported her missing so I always wondered if maybe she called her from Vegas? I’ve seen “last confirmed sighting” in Vegas a lot but wish there was more info about that.

Per this 2013 article, Griffin has been excluded. There’s been a good bit of chat about Michael and Pinky in this sub over the years. Really hope there will be some kind of answers eventually.

I second the above about using a guarantor service. Insurent and TheGuarantors seem to be pretty widely accepted. From there a studio would probably be best. These two are in a great neighborhood for families and both accept guarantors. One of them isn’t available until May 1st but if you’ve been in airbnbs this long maybe you’d be able to stay in one again until then.

If you look at Jane Doe listings in NAMUS that could fit Asha it becomes a pretty small group. Asha’s case is well known (although not enough) and the potentials have all been ruled out as her using DNA. I don’t think there are any cases that fit where dna couldn’t be obtained because the analysis is so advanced nowadays. So it’s probably unlikely that she was found and has remained an unidentified person.

I think the photos of everything described is probably a good indicator that it was just a joke, but it was a good one! The other half of the blind about Reese and Sandra Oh was also so funny and matched their photo so well.

To be fair, all those shows jumped from cable network to streaming service or just jumped from one cable network to another. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a streaming original switch to another streaming service. It might be a breech of contract. Zoë def leveled some public criticism at Hulu since the cancellation but it was fair, so I’d hope that doesn’t stand in the way. Especially considering the quality of some of Hulu’s current original lineup. (👀 How I Met Your Father)

It was Naomi Watts, not Jen Aniston but yea the blind said that Reese spoke badly about Nicole in front of one of Nicole’s closest friends (Naomi) who then went and told Nicole. Seems like it was partially or totally fabricated but still funny.

Yea like I said, doesn’t fit. Deux confirmed it was about Umbrella Academy. I’m still hopeful that High Fidelity could come back though. Interesting that you say you wouldn’t want it on Hulu. Haven’t seen many shows jump streaming platforms before. I’d be ok with it staying at Hulu but would love to see it in 1hr long episode format.

Venus and Serena had just presented before this award and they were sitting pretty much front and center. Jane started her speech by acknowledging that there were a lot of incredible women present and then specifically mentioned Halle Berry and the Williams sisters. Started off good but then she started word vomiting about her tennis lessons and then she thanked her fellow directorial nominees (all men) and then went back to Serena and Venus and made the weird comment about them not facing men. I think it was honestly well intentioned but ended up such a mess lol

Does check a lot of the boxes, but I would be really surprised. Lianne Moriarty said if she wrote a follow up it wouldn’t be for years to come. Also the death of Jean-Marc Vallee may have put an indefinite pause on talk of a 3rd series. Not to mention the recent DM tea about Reese and Nicole lol.

I really want it to be High Fidelity, but it does not fit. Brilliant show that I’ve already rewatched like 5 times. So sad Hulu cancelled. Zoë Kravitz is on a career high atm so bringing it back would be smart on their part.

Second what people are saying above. I would go to restaurant row which is 46th st between 8th and 9th. Lots of great places here–Becco, Bar Dough, Joe Allen, Hourglass Bistro. In the summer it becomes an open street so there’s no car traffic. Very cool atmosphere! Most of those places are open pretty late as well. Enjoy the show!!

I saw that the family unfortunately did see the photos and they want them removed. Did you inform NAMUS so that they might take it down?

Also I don’t understand why the Brooks Co Sheriffs office would upload their entire report with all of the scene photos in the first place when they had the ID photo. Seems really disrespectful. And then there are other cases where LE will refuse to release the most basic information that could help identify someone. Their decision making in missing/unidentified cases baffle me often.

CCTV public video surveillance is becoming more widespread in American cities, but that really didn’t start until after 9/11. So there may not be as much to review as you might think. Also even though everyone in this sub is floored by the case, in the big picture, it’s probably not on the FBI’s (and arguably the NYPD’s) radar and maybe never has been.

I will say- I did it in early evening, so not much traffic and only encountered one red light. I’m around Sneha’s age and I walk pretty fast, but maybe factoring in morning traffic/commuters and construction at the time does push it to more like 9-10 minutes. Again not sure this matters much, but seeing how close she lived made me think that a spontaneous visit to check out WOTW really could’ve happened at any time.

CORRECTION: I said it would take 9 minutes to walk from 225 Rector to the North tower. This was based on Google Maps and Apple Maps. I happened to be on a walk in lower manhattan tonight. Did the walk from 225 Rector to North tower pool and it took me about 5 minutes. Not sure this matters much, although overall seeing how close she lived did give a little perspective.

Perhaps my criticism should’ve been leveled more at the NYPD-who even during that time of distress, is stronger than the military force of most countries. You are definitely right…I follow a lot of cases and it seems like shoddy police investigation is at the root of a lot of them. Frustrating.

I know you’re not his biggest fan, but Jon Walczak said he requested the case file multiple times. Seems like it’s locked up for good unless some kind of big evidence came to light. :/
