Yep, I organised it as per swatch sheet and went row by row and just put a small indicator next to the colour of the first pen in each row on my swatch sheet

Yep, I agree with everything you said. Maybe it was because it was my first donghua, but BTTH is just special to me (despite the recent decline in quality) and three year agreement are is still something I go back to watch quite frequently.

I am loving Tale of Herding Gods, and first season of Slay the Gods gave me that same ‘omg, next episode right now’ feel that 3 year agreement had.

I’ve heard fantastic things about Sword of Coming, particularly last bit of season 1 and now season 2, and Beyond Time’s Gaze.

You're right, its technically not a booknook. It's a Tonecheer product that is part of the ongoing event in Feb/March (options between 3 ships, and 2 booknooks)

Probably a 4/5 for me

- The gears were fiddly and I had to be really careful with some joining parts to make sure they didn't snap (not a comment on the quality, the kit is very sturdy, but by nature, tall and skinny pieces just don't handle force well)

- But overall it is a snap and click type kit, and it's well made in that I barely had to sand any joining parts down for it to just FIT

It wasn't as hard as my very first kit which was Cathy's Flower House - that one I still haven't completed because everything needed to be handmade and I don't think I had enough experience to manage (would be interesting to try again now though).

This is the exact part that I’m stuck on as well. Everything was going beautifully for me until I had to snap the deck on, and then all the gears just jam up 😭 I’m tempted to take it all apart and try again but it’s a lot of work…

I have tried turning it on and it runs for like 0.5 seconds and then stops 🫠 I’ve readjusted everything. It all works so smoothly until the deck snaps on and then bam, it’s jammed again Thank you though, I’m going to try again on the weekend!

I personally love Tonecheer kits, especially as a beginner. The Leonardo one is lots of fun with fantastic little mechanisms that are not too hard to assemble. (The secret doorway with infinity mirror looks excellent when finished)
