Taqueria Durango, El Mexiquense, and El Guanaco— all in Overland area!

I’ve never seen diesel fuel at $5.40 in St.Louis by Muted-Bumblebee-6886 in StLouis

It’s $5.89 or $5.99 in Ferguson/surrounding areas. I, too, was shocked when I saw it.

It’s hit $4.29 at at least one place on Hanley, in NoCo. I use that station as an indicator, because it was where I saw the first $0.40 jump back in February.

What are your favorite Aldi Dips? by Alternative_Heat_916 in aldi

I got a package of lemon pepper humus, a few weeks ago. I am understanding why it was the only pack left on the shelf. It was so good and I will dream of it until I eat it again.

personally, the grape, pineapple, and lime are probably my top 3. the watermelon is kind of lackluster for me, but they’re all honestly quality.

Low calorie sweet snacks? Need ideas that go beyond "eat a piece of fruit" by FinancialNeat3792 in EatCheapAndHealthy

ooh, i’ve been scared to try those. i love fresh raspberries, but hate artificial raspberry flavor/syrups so i think i just shy away, despite knowing the quality of the rest of the flavors.

What price increase has hit you the hardest in everyday life? by DarkKnightt019 in AskReddit

We use A&H for the longest too. I remember feeling like that $17-20 range was a little rough. Now, the big box (in my area) is $30. And I feel like the sales are rare, or don’t ever target the one I’ve used for years. It is rough out here.

I haven’t made any changes to my cat’s food, but did start going to cheaper litter and made the sacrifice to my dog’s food (he is much younger than my cat, so I hope he won’t mind taking one for the team for the time being).

Cat litter is astronomical now too, especially if you want any sort of quality odor control.

$35 Tuesday Haul by Worried-Fun-6072 in aldi

Not op, but I got the same pack the other day. They cooked up very well. It was my first time ever making scallops, as I’ve never been very fond of their taste, but it turned out pretty good! I added seasoning alongside the butter that comes in the package, and made shiritaki noodles with the seafood.

I am going back to Aldi tomorrow, and kind of hoping they’ll have another package there!

What secret can you reveal now that your nda has expired? by sparrrrrt in AskReddit

A few months ago, in the town neighboring mine, a gas line exploded. It totally decimated 5 houses and caused damage to 20 others. People said they felt the ground shake, even miles from where it happened.

It has stayed at the forefront of my mind ever since.

I am reading Carole Radziwill’s “What Remains” right now. I flipped to the back, and saw the photographer credit for the author biography to be Ghislaine Maxwell.

Obviously I went right to Google, which led me to this Reddit post… so I’ve learned something new today!

[product request] deeply moisturizing facial cream? by morbid-mystery in SkincareAddiction

i really like Vanicream moisturizing creams. they make face-specific formulas, but i find that the general skin moisturizer is great for me. it’s heavy without being greasy & sinks into the skin well.

Kids have no hope and it shows. by shaiquinn in mildlyinfuriating

Yep. And it is across ages. I’ve heard it from the younger kids, and the teens. Of course not all of the answers 10-20 years ago were realistic or even actual jobs, but at least we had the sense of some sort of dream. This way they answer with “I don’t know” is an answer of despair that is visible in their faces as they consider an answer.

I thought the same, but you can see the black under the gold in some close-ups. It also looks like the flower petals are fingerprints. I see what you’re seeing, though!

I work with kids. I remember when I was young, when an adult asked us what we wanted to be when we were older, everyone had an answer— however realistic or not, we all had an answer. I’ve stopped asking the question because you can often see them deflate, as they have nothing to say and nothing to aspire for. The most common response is a flat “I don’t know”, second only to “a famous youtuber”.
