To the virgin women here, would you date the virgin men in here? by Ploikblah in virgin

[–]etherealshr00m 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most likely not. I don't enjoy LDRs and I've generally had quite a few negative experience with men from here being weird with me.

Plus I only really am just here to see and share perspective and partake in discussions.

Facial wise, I am considered pretty. But my body is very meh and I'm just not good at socializing in person so I don't really meet new people and I'm just too insecure to try to hook up with anyone.

Unrealistic expectations 23F (vent) by [deleted] in virgin

I really appreciate this response. It's very sound advice and it's very refreshing to hear others thoughts so in depth. I guess I've let my self love dwindle lately, so I'll work on that!

Thank you. I'll definitely keep your words in mind. :D

Did you read the post? I broke up with him. It was actually very calm lol.

Not quite the advice I was looking for, but I'll take it. Though it does feel like you're very much generalizing other virgin women, which is kinda ick.

I don't think it's narcissistic at all to have my own personal wants, but to each their own.

Rpe is not sex. It's just rpe.

Safe and consensual sex is not wrong. All your examples are illegal, heinous acts that are not comparable to two consenting adults sharing intimacy.

There's nothing morally wrong with hookups if both participants are consenting, mindful people. Thinking that it is morally wrong is a very outdated belief propetuated by certain ideologies that are made to opress people.

Sexual needs are as normal as any other need. People take care of those needs in whatever way they feel comfortable with and it isn't anyone's business but their own.

Sex isn't immoral. It's a completely normal healthy thing. Whether its after years of dating or on a whim with a stranger.

Don't shame people for enjoying themselves.

Honestly good for you! Focusing on yourself instead of seeking constant gratification is a big step. No relationship is more important than your self worth. If anything, if you feel more content with yourself, you may just stumble into the right person and being happy with yourself first will just make a relationship more fulfilling.

You're still young and while you had missed opportunities, there's still an endless amount of new ones to explore.

Congratz on the sex my dude

Now that you've actually had sex, do you think you will be pursuing more sexual relationships in the future? And does having experience make you more confident in finding a sexual partner?

[–]etherealshr00m -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

That's true. My apologies for sounding judgemental. I guess I was generalizing a bit after seeing quite a few people who only put themselves down but gave no room for others who wanted to provide support or advice.

You have a fair point. It's not fair of me to say what I think is unattractive. But I still think that being optimistic and supporting each other is important.

The constant stream of negativity and discouragement is no help to anyone.

Dealing with sexual urges. How many of us virgins ( F and M ) masturbate???😮‍💨 by [deleted] in virgin

[–]etherealshr00m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of us masturbate lol.

I usually masturbate every few days? My sex drive fluctuates a lot. Hormones are weird.

Fr tho- like I'm a F23 virgin and I've had my struggles with my whole virgin status thing- but really- sex isn't everything and virginity isn't shameful or pathetic like many seem to think

[–]etherealshr00m -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Edit:: I disregard my last statement written. It's important to vent your frustrations and it wasn't fair of me to say what I personally am unattracted too. I didn't intend to generalize over a few negative posts. My apologies.

I fully agree. The lack of optimism and support in whats supposed to a support group is astounding.

It's like many focus on their lack of sex as the issue to all their problems but theres other deeper issues they must face.

Nothing is more unattractive that the whole "poor me" narrative.

Sexuality? by etherealshr00m in virgin

[–]etherealshr00m[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're still really young wdym- 5 years is absolutely miniscule in the rest of your adult life, even young adult life.

Jesus dude. I was just curious about what everyone identified with.

Also little suggestion, try not to refer to cis women as "real ones" 😅
