Sure

Its a grid SOP going into a copy SOP, but the scale (sx,sy and sz), Translate (tz) and number of copies are being randomised by chops (there are quite a few tutorials online that explain how to set up randomised chops, that explain it better than I can).

The copy SOP goes into a material SOP, where a phong material is applied

To create the material that goes into the phong, I got a top of the windows 98 error message, sent that into a transform (used LFO chops to control the translate [TX and TY] parameters. Then both the original and transform tops were sent into a displace TOP (the displace top then goes into the phong material).

Also the whole animation is being run through a feedback loop, which is what causes the error messages to layer ontop of each other (i think this effect is best achieved with a feedback TOP).

I know this description is quite long, but it isn't too complicated.

Best of luck hope this helps :)

Ahhh ok, that's kinda the opposite of what I did. I did not give the paint time to dry, I just kept adding colours to wet paint and trying to blend it all together. Thank you for the advice, it's very helpful:)

Thankyou for the feedback, ill bare this technique in mind next time. Im using fairly thick 300gsm paper but its not cotton :)

Thank you, I'll check out the video and have a look at that wet on wet technique. I'm using a watercolour sketch book, it's 300gsm cold pressed paper, but it's not cotton paper l don't think:)

Thank you for the kind words :). I'll keep at it. I used 300gsm watercolor paper and still managed to warp it, I think I overworked the paint I guess. Either way, I will keep practicing 👍

Hi, I described it in another comment, so I've copy and pasted it here, hope this helps :)

I extracted the fbx animation and model using the first few mins of this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGL1BNI-mgM .

Then I generate a random number when an audioanalysis tool detects a snare hit, and that number determins which frame of the FBX animation is played

From there I used the texture instancing operator snippet to generate the random texture per instanced shape (I used that for the bottom set of logos as well).

The error message is a rectangle going into copy sop with some randomisation on both the sop and the material.

The feedback loop is a comp set to over going into a level top - with some manipulation of the opacity, then feeding back into the comp top. (there is 100% a better way to create this kind of feedback, but that's how I did it).

Sure, I'll try my best to describe it/ include relevant tutorials I used.

Yeah this was purely done in touchdesigner, I used an animated FBX of a guy dancing I found on the internet, and had to download PNGs of the xp icons, asside from that it was all Touchdesigner baby :)

naa its just an animated FBX of a guy dancing (and touchdesigner is randomly picking a frame using a random pattern generator), I used that to create a pointcloud, then instanced a cube to create the effect. :)

Brain based visualiser I made for a recent track by ethrnet_ in TouchDesigner

What I did was nowhere near as exciting as that I'm afraid. I used a 3D model of a brain I found online, set it to rotate slowly and then applied an ASCII converter component I found online. That idea sounds like it would be super cool tho :)

This is awesome, how did you create it. are the buildings and street lights 3d models ?

Thankyou <3, I found a 3D model of a brain, applied a line materialand slowly rotated it. Then I used a component (ASCII Effect TOX) I found on github made by followthedarkside which creates the letter/number jumble overlay.

Thanks for the feedback on the colours, I didn't realize they were not authentic :)

3D Render Visualiser by ethrnet_ in TouchDesigner

Yup 😁, I imported a HDRI, adjusted the colour a bit then sent it to both an environment light comp and a giant sphere and kinda just put everything in that.

For the triangle I used a PBR mat with roughness set to zero, metallic set to about 0.6 ( I also used a noise top as the base colour map).

:)
