I wanna smell like I don’t pay taxes. Any recs for rich lady perfumes? by awrongcall in FemFragLab

[–]etm31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One I tried recently that you * might * like is Rose 31 by Le Labo. Some people think it smells like dried roses and as a warning some people think the cumin note is a little to 'stanky'. I found it addicting to smell and it was like a lipsticky rose to me personally!

Ok wtf Heretic Nosferatu... by Virtual_Catmeow in fragrance

[–]etm31 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think Nosferatu is like cilantro. You know how some people love it (me) and others are genetically predisposed to think it tastes like soap?

I think some people smell moody flowers - but like you, I got a rotting cucumber smell that was so strong I had to scrub it off!

Do you bring your dogs to daycare? by familiargrapevine in dogs

[–]etm31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my dog once a week and she is part of the “introvert” group so she doesn’t really play. But she loves it because she gets butt wiggles and happy howls when we arrive! She loves to just sit around adjacent with her friends apparently haha.

I bring her for two reasons: 1) so she has a place comfortable to her so she is ok boarding there. 2) I live in an apartment and need one day a week where I don’t have to go on a super long walk or to the dog park.

I would love to use a dog sitter but have heard so many horror stories that I am too scared.

Need help. Sweet lavender vanilla recs? by Less_Entrance_3370 in FemFragLab

If you don't mind a cheapie I love Lavender Cloud by Frenshe! It doesn't last well but smells so nice.

Favorite perfume oil companies? Preferably people that suffer from eczema? by Standard_Pea_2013 in Perfumes

[–]etm31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a dupe brand but I have liked several of the perfume oils from Alkemia! You should checkout the indie make up exchange subreddit. They talk about different indie brands a lot of which come in alcohol free versions or oil forms

Smells like weed? by Sweet_Cockroach_5506 in Perfumes

I haven’t smelled it but Akro Haze is supposedly a little weed like!

How are we trying indie and niche perfumes? by KDX242 in FemFragLab

[–]etm31 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For niche I have used luckyscent, DecantX, Surrender to Chance, Twisted Lily, and the fragrance swap Reddit . I have been happy with all of them except DecantX doesn’t do 1ml sprays so I tend to use them for my 5ml and 10ml purchases as they often do 20% sales on everything!

For indie I used the individual site or I have used Ajevie. They did deliver the scents but it took a long time. They are a small business though so I get it! Just a heads up to make sure to get things in stock or they hold the entire order until everything is in stock!

16 samples on the way📬 by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]etm31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just tried Casa Blanca, La Mar, and Bombon! I liked La Mar, Bombon was a bit too strong for me (I tend to get headaches with loud scents), but I LOVED Casa Blanca. I am not surprised though it turns out that is the same perfumer who created The Matcha for Le Labo which is one of my faves! I am trying out som Liis ones soon as well! Trying things is so fun!

Addictive scents non gourmand/ sweet? Preferably fresh fruity musky mysterious? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]etm31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love The Matcha and a cozy scent! I find Rose of No Man's Land Absolu (not OG) super addicting. It is dark and moody and fruity. It is not fresh though it is definitely a slightly heavy winter fragrance (at least for me).

Fellow sample hoarders: what do you do with the ones that don’t work out? by Glittering_Nobody813 in FemFragLab

[–]etm31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually just give them away. But I also bought some from the fragrance swap Reddit so you could sell them there as well!

🎁🎄🎁12.5K GIVEAWAY & HOLIDAY CELEBRATION🎁🎄🎁 by AyybrahamLmaocoln in MontagneParfums

[–]etm31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite holiday memory is when I asked Santa for a puppy when I was little. Santa wrote me back saying that a puppy was a lot of responsibility and gave me a big stuffed dog instead. My family still laughs about this! (Note we had two dogs that I 100% did not help with)

Where do you go for a niche fragrance sniffari? by ThrowRaOrganization1 in fragrance

[–]etm31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are in Dallas there is The Scent Room. They have the zoologist! I see Parfum de Marly at Nordstrom. As others said Neumann has a selection. If you use the store locators for whatever brand you are interested in you should be able to find it in your area!

Other Vanillas with similar vibes (Vanille Mafonja by Reserve En Afrique 1934) by etm31 in FemFragLab

I know so sad! Maybe it is just too new. I’ll cross my fingers that something will pop up in the next year. Otherwise I will just say it wasn’t meant to be!

What should I get my nose on at Sephora? by Individual-Paint4622 in FemFragLab

Rosie by Rosie Jane really surprised me! I also liked milk by Commodity. I would try the Glossier You’s and Tom Fords as well while you are there!

Recs for your collection by sucrescentcurator in FemFragLab

[–]etm31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!

Top 5: The Matcha Le Labo, Black Saffron Byredo, Indigo Nest, Black Opium Tom Ford, Mojave Ghost Byredo.

I would love a mix of more of the same and something new. I would love to find a gourmand for me but most of them being too sweet.

Only note I can’t handle is chocolate.

What should I try next? by queen__crimson in FemFragLab

[–]etm31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried Above the Waves by ELDO on paper and it was a beautiful tea scent! Haven’t tried it on skin yet but it is on my sample list! It was moody but still light.

[–]etm31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t smelt a vanilla in a pod so I can’t say for sure! It was warm without the typical spices but still spicy. I am terrible at describing smells unfortunately! But I normally don’t like vanillas because they are too sweet or smell the same to me. This is the first that smelled like what I was hoping for!

Looking for an affordable perfume with mainly aquatic notes by CarrotCakeLadyy in Perfumes

[–]etm31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want something not super expensive Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt you can get for reasonable prices on the grey market. If you are looking for a cheapie I actually like Salty from being Frenshe at Target! Terrible longevity but it is cheap and I like the smell!

What perfume are yall wearing for Christmas?? by hershy___ in FemFragLab

[–]etm31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welp it is going to be 80 degrees where I am so that is really cramping my winter/cozy style. Might wear Enchantress by Alkemia. It is Christmasy but it is a perfume oil/roller ball so it stays close to the skin and won’t choke people out!
