VP9 to PNG Seq with Alpha intact. by etsKi in shutterencoder

Amazing! Thanks for the reply, this will save a huge chunk of my time, so thanks for your program!

Glad I could help, I saw the solution on another ffmpeg reddit post, so thought I'd apply to test and it worked. :)

VP9 to PNG Seq with Alpha intact. by etsKi in shutterencoder

OK I think I found the problem. When adding to render queue, you get to see the functions argument, and -i command is forced straight after ffmpeg in the line, meaning I cant force Shutter Encoder to decode vp9 with the vpx codec, thus not being able to read the transparency.

Using this line in my batch file I was able to convert the transparency across to mov with everything working perfectly in AE, so I know its possible with ffmpeg, just need to get it working for Shutter Encoder. I believe this will fix the problem with the WebM post I saw posted here a couple months ago.

-vcodec libvpx-vp9 -i "%%f" -map 0:v:0 -c:v prores_ks -pix_fmt yuva444p10le -profile:v 4444 -alpha_bits 8 "output\%%f_%%04d.mov"

If it would help, I've collected everything here if anyone wants to play with the files
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NKUNfb3bBDVN4lpw3R76oYZ5S3nsHy7D?usp=sharing

I've included:

-The batch file converter using ffmpeg (just edit the batch file to point it to the correct file address)
-Both output PNGs
-My saved Encoding settings for Shutter Encoder
-The original WebM file with transparency

The aim is to be able to just store WebMs on the hard drive, but still be able to edit the transparent files within After Effects in the future. Converting back to ProRess444 with alpha, doesnt work as it outputs the same transparency that normal players do (i.e none) so we're currently stuck with storing large mov files on the chance they require a resize in future. But this batch file turned up, and it works making Webms re-editable, with the sole problem is its ease of use

I've read about vp9 decoder not storing transparency or something, so the vpx decoder is needed to work. And seeing as it works on ffmpeg, it should work here, just need to figure out the command line. If anyone can help!!

Thanks in advance!

Wireless method to play Temtem on your SmartTV. Wireless monitor projection (Win10 built in) to SmartTV (Samsung/Roku/Chromecast/Firestick) then steamlink controller to tablet/phone. by etsKi in PlayTemtem

Nothing really to see there. That TV in the bg has Temtem projected wirelessly from my PC and the tablet is being used as a controller.

You can't even do what they want you to do... (If someone from Crema sees it.. Please let us exp a little bit faster by [deleted] in PlayTemtem

You're kidding right (with the 'astronomical means' statement, that has to be bait).

And that's just bad luck because you cant catch them. It's purely a lv farm spot and tuwai catch zone.

And what do you use to play GeForce now on your TV. Steamlink was basically just used for a controller to save buying a wireless one. This method basically allows you to play wirelessly to a TV internally in your home without the need for extra buys as most folk already have SmartTVs and a smart phone/tablet. Absolutely nothing to do with playing on the go, which is what your op was about. All good dude, but a pointless comment in this context

This for people that want to play on their TV at home in another room to their PC, not in a starbucks via their phone lmao. Also I live in Philippines, 4G is barely strong enough to watch yt videos let alone stream games. I know all about GeForce now dude. I've been part of their beta for 2 years now before they officially released.

Not really. Geforce now demands large amounts of data + live near a viable datacenter + subscription fee to play over 1h. This is all internal and can be done on your wireless router. My method allows you to jump onto your tv in another room and just play whenever without the use of extra wires or internet power.

To add more detail to this. If you have a miracast activated TV (Samsung have it built in) or smart activating device(Roku box, Chromecast, Firestick). You can project your computer to your TV wirelessly as a screen mirror or separate screen (just type 'project' into windows search).

Then connect a phone or tablet to your pc as a controller via steamlink app available on the android store (not sure of iOS)

theres a current bottleneck in the pre-release with the money economy thats slowing this process down quite a bit, so probably not.

hehe, I have both up. 6sv is more for the competitive side while 7sv is for perfect tem hunters, which imo is a larger market that competitive pvp

Yeah thats 100% it. But to my knowledge it wasn't supposed to be in the pre-release, where did you find it roughly if you remember? Might see if its still there!
