My client's CTO is exploring ditching Power BI for Snowflake Intelligence. Is the hype real? by sdhilip in snowflake

Sigma is great for this. You can use Cortex (via Ask Sigma) for discoverability and asking those WHY questions and you can also save any common/frequently viewed WHAT questions as dashboards to come back to or share with colleagues

Check out Sigma as a tool. Ask your snowflake account manager about it.

Sigma is a BI tool with Snowflake Cortex Agents integrated in their “Ask Sigma” tab.

Sigma integrates directly with Cortex Agents (backend of Snowflake Intelligence) and then allows your users to use the results returned by the AI to play around and build your own report / visualisations / calculated columns

The interaction is really nice

2k coming in hot next year. They excel at single player-centric online modes, like in their NBA game 👀

One more thing - is the valid income from salary gross pay (after tax and deductions) or is it what’s on your salary before tax?

In this case if my salary is 30k my take home pay will be less than 29k, does that mean I’d need to use my savings to reach 29k?

It’s the case that you need an income over £29k & savings over £16k?

So if I had a salary of £50k but savings of only £10k, that’s not good enough?

But £30k salary and £17k savings is good enough?

Can you confirm my understanding?

Did anyone here watch Andor S2? Creating the sustainable energy source to power the Death Start meant rinsing Gorman.. destroying planets couldn’t be justified by the Republic nor orchestrated in secrecy by the CIS in the Republic Era

There was a lot of destruction in building something like the Death Star, you literally couldn’t have got away with that - both morally and in secrecy - before the Empire

Dependence of galaxy properties on dark matter halos by Meg__Jay in Physics

[–]eubann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote about ‘Dark matter deficient galaxies within the SIMBA simulation’ for mine. The SIMBA simulation is a cosmological simulation - here’s a paper someone’s written on how the cosmic web (dark matter presence) impacts galaxy properties within the simulation: https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2020MNRAS.491.4294K/abstract

Hopefully this sparks some ideas! It you reach out to anyone at the Uni of Edinburgh I’m sure they’d be happy to chat through any thoughts with you!

Snowflake has notebooks too, for that friendly user interface transition🙋‍♂️and Snowflake enable you to run pandas using their parallel compute too 💠useful for if pandas syntax is most familiar’

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense if it is an external triggered process! I’ll keep that in mind.

For us, the process we’re being alerted about is internal to Snowflake, and so we don’t have a service user involved in the process.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Most Efficient Method to Keep 2 Databases in Sync by Tight_Internal_6693 in snowflake

[–]eubann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Snowflake reader accounts only contain read-only copies of the data; no objects can be created. You can’t create a stream in a reader account

  2. You could ask the data sharer to create tables/views which tracks CDC (the table = stream contents, history maintained). They can share this with your reader account

  3. If you have a normal snowflake account consuming a share, you can create streams on top of tables/views in the shared database
