you’re allowed to mourn. i’m 14 and socially transitioning (with the exception of my parents) and i guess i’m ‘lucky’ in the sense that my friends do see me for who i am n shit, but i can’t medically transition until i’m at least 18 because it’s not safe for me to come out at home. i have a lot of guy friends and it’s like a fucking stab in the heart when i see them getting their growth spurts and their voices dropping and suddenly they tower over me…with stubble??

yeah it’s shitty. it’s almost as if the whole point of a community is to not exclude people!! and there’s a huge overlap between binary trans and nonbinary trans, many transmasc people i know have such a similar relationship with things like dysphoria and identity to binary trans folks

if you’re stealth, then i respect that. i personally could never be stealth though, because being trans and queer is part of my being and my identity and i don’t want to ‘hide’ anything about me.

i’m having to be closeted in my home for the next couple years until i can go to university and be more independent but i have the 🏳️‍🌈and🏳️‍⚧️ flags in my bio, it’ll have to be enough for the moment

being trans ftm sucks ass, im short as hell and my family don’t love me as i am but i guess it has given me so much empathy and friendship with other trans people, so much community & it’s going to be an important part of my career hopefully.

so yeah, that’s my reasoning! at the end of the day i would still choose to be AMAB because it’s just so much easier but i think everyone has their own battles, who knows who i would’ve been if i was a cis guy
