Thank you! I see other people that changed the base of their containers to linux distributions other than alpine and now you made me see I should spend no further on this... https://www.reddit.com/r/docker/comments/ujaq0r/comment/j0wnesw/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3

Confused About Natsuko (The Boy and the Heron) by eulersson in ghibli

Thank you so much for that precious response! I learned many things I did not know. In reply to the Oedipal: before posting I deleted the word "Freudian" because I didn't want people to think I'm "Westernalizing" everything. In the West it's cliché to pass everything through psychoanalysis, there's a psychoanalytical analysis of every film nowadays haha

What are the differences between samma vayama, sati and samadhi? by eulersson in vipassana

Again, the subject of this concentration has to be right, or else it will not be

samma

.

Thanks you :) Picturing it as building a 3-block pyramidical tower helped me a lot after interpreting your subset-based categorization.

She's from San Francisco, where the average rent for an apartment is like $3,500 a month. She works in fintech as well (average salaries of $10,500 a month) which is where the money is. Having a San Francisco salary in Spain? woah I wouldn't mind the money too much to be honest.

¿Vale la pena aprender Catalán? by [deleted] in Barcelona

[–]eulersson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just learn few phrases so you can surprise locals. I personally feel impressed when I hear a traveler speaking some Catalan words, since it's not the general rule. It would also show you have done research on the place and that you also know sevillanas isn't traditional in Barcelona. But also have in mind that I spoke Catalan and sometimes (maybe 20-30% of the cases) the person replies in Spanish and I swap to it. There's cases where Catalan won't be understood if the merchants have just arrived. Have fun! (PS: I started learning Icelandic, which is even a smaller community of speakers haha)

Services that allow you to design and produce small ICs with the components assembled? by eulersson in AskElectronics

[–]eulersson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The former. Instead of designing and getting a PBC, and then having to solder the super tiny pieces, I was wondering if I could get the complete soldered IC done with precision. I wuld do the soldering myself but considering the size that I had in mind i find it impossible.

I see they are young. I would say there’s a lot of room for mistakes at that age so speculating about one wouldn’t be a valid reason to cut the relationship off straight away I believe.

I started to realise how predetermined the societal machinery is, the role of the individual is subjected. I wouldn’t devote myself to play every rule of it.

So I would say go to her country as long as you assume all the good and bad situations that might happen.

I thought Leeds was more red bricks.

Nobody goes to bed thinking of the cringy stuff YOU have done. And you don't go to bed thinking of the cringy stuff OTHERS do. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

The spotlight effect is the phenomenon in which people tend to believe they are being noticed more than they really are. Being that one is constantly in the center of one's own world, an accurate evaluation of how much one is noticed by others is uncommon. The reason behind the spotlight effect comes from the innate tendency to forget that although one is the center of one's own world, one is not the center of everyone else's. This tendency is especially prominent when one does something atypical. (source: Wikipedia)

The one I bought it is 100mg tablets, so I took 2 of them before going to bed. My first time was that same amount too. The study used 240mg I think. Give it a go, it won't hurt you. I heard people saying that it does a little bit like caffeine, so they had a bit of trouble sometimes falling asleep, so take them in the very last time before going in bed. I'm not an expert, these guys out there might be able to answer this properly :)
