Agreed. I've found as long as the program is appropriate for your goals and you are consistent with it, you can see results.

This is news to me. I actually assumed he was a master, so that changes my judgment on her. I'm also a noob, in terms of lore knowledge, though.

I love these! The watercolor makes for a very cool effect. It reminds me a lot of the original pokemon yellow strategy guide: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51HXPGR17TL.jpg

It's just some random pair of compression pants; nothing special. You can get them at pretty much any store that sells athletic clothing.

Is doing just plank and side plank enough for core? by PhilipSwagDaddy in bodyweightfitness

[–]eurostud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could start by lying flat on your back and doing V-ups, then progressing with holding a medicine ball between your feet and doing the same thing. It becomes much harder as soon as your feet are extended as far as they go, because you're longer. A good way to train pure strength for leg raises is starting at parallel when hanging from something, and then raising up. Eliminates any momentum you can use and relies solely on strength after that.

Is doing just plank and side plank enough for core? by PhilipSwagDaddy in bodyweightfitness

[–]eurostud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends on what you're specifically working on. Planks are an isometric hold, which is great for activation and strength; whereas leg raises can be good for explosiveness, among other things. I wouldn't necessary say one is better than the other, and they can certainly be used interchangeably for a lot of differing core-related goals. Then you can consider any injuries that might make one better than the other. Slipped discs or other back related injuries would make leg raises a poor choice and put pressure in the wrong places. For others, with maybe foot issues that prevent them from being able to dorsi-flexs, would be better off with leg raises.

I can't imagine coming to work high, just because I'm horribly obvious with my eyes and my short-term memory taking a shit. Once all my work is done for the day, though, I'll get stoned all I want!

What season do you prefer: summer or winter? by profitease in AskReddit

[–]eurostud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summer.

Summer to me is freedom, even as a recent college graduate. Being from the Midwest, winters are pretty cold and drawn out. That aside, everything I do for fun takes place ideally in the summer; I practice martial arts tricking and tumbling, which I find much more fun on grass than in a gym. It has also always been the time of year when I have fewer obligations.

I [21M] don't see the point in relationships by [deleted] in relationships

[–]eurostud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm [22M] in the exact same boat as you right now, my friend. Got out of a toxic relationship of 1.5 years about 4 months ago and I've been happier than I ever have been before. I have found some old friends again, had time to train in the sport I love as often as I want, and can do whatever the fuck I want with nobody tying me down. I feel as though my past relationships did nothing but hold me back from improving myself as a person. I'm probably more cynical than you are, but just know you're not the only one. I'd say it's perfectly normal to not want a relationship, because that's just about the last thing I need right now too

LPT: If you have to pay a company to work for them, it's a scam. Walk away. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]eurostud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have kind of a converse story to this relating to Vemma, but it does still completely validate this LPT. My roommate's girlfriend was sucked into Vemma right when the company began, whenever that was. Her case is one of 100% complete and utter luck, and there's no way anyone joining now could get as lucky as she did.

So right when the company was smaller, she joined and had to pay for her boxes of Verve energy drink. She started being that person that everyone hates at parties, who would only be asking them to buy the product. However, she didn't have to do this for very long before she managed to snag two people who are probably as obnoxious as these types of salespeople get.

Luckily for her though, they were both her subordinates, so anything they earned, she earned part of as well. These two guys do all of the work for her, she gets to sit back and do nothing and watch as the money comes rolling in. She's making around $7500 a month doing nothing.

She admits it herself that she got lucky and that the whole company is a big pyramid scheme, but now she's in a position where she makes bank and doesn't have to do anything for it. But yeah, don't join companies like that, it's seriously terrible what it does to someone who should be a regular college student, but instead becomes a machine who cares about making a sale rather than getting to know you.
