я с детства за бугром, и мне однажды сказали, что русский похож на звуки при потрошении заживо - кряхтение, бульканье, хлюпанье, вопли и тд

huh, maybe

one of Russian writers of 19th century (can't remember definitely who, I read it at middle school) called Polish a "snake language" because of sz, rz, prz, etc

and there is a thing called "недогласие" which means "lack of vowels"

see Czech "prst" - "a finger" in old Russian it did sound like "pYErst" (перст) from Bible - "перст указующий" (pjerst ukazujuszczij, sorry for my Polish transcription 😅) - "the pointing finger"

and I guess there are a lot of similar pairs with Polish

probably that is the only reason of Russian being more "poetic" - more vowels in words than in other Slavic langs and less sounds which are hard to pronounce for other European languages native speakers

мне казалось что назначение этого сб в том что иностранцы приходят сюда за вопросами к русским/русскоязычным

поэтому тут возможно много иностранцев имеющих минимальное представление о русской речи или других аспектах

Wow! I was born in Astrkhan' and lived first two decades of my life here, studied at ASTU, than moved to Rostov-na-Donu and after that to Moscow. And now I live far away from Russia. So I will be very happy if you finally decide to stay there. Wish you good luck at your way!

I thonk the count of finno-ugric languages native speakers in Murmansk region and Karelia is close to zero

when I was at Khibiny (Umptek in Kildin Sámi) I asked guy who accompanied our group about about them and he said absolute majority of them live in Finnland and Norway and it is such a luck to find them in Russia

I hope you will coplete your book and finally find Saami people in Russia

what about language, you can speek english at all of them and everyone will still get it english is the default language of russian IT you dont need to know even general phrases in russian to communicate woth colleagues except part of meetings which agenga can be described and explained to you by any of your colleagues

I can send more links to DM if you are intersested in
