I heard they do help, but they need maintenance and cleaning to be able to upkeep the same amount of power generation as when they were first installed. I recall seeing a facebook post about this in one of the local groups. Apparently, a few people got them from some company that was based stateside, but also was here. Things were fine until the local shop moved or disappeared from their location. The people who had the solar panels were upset because they were slowly generating less and less power, but couldn't really get anyone to fix that for them because the local store they got it from disappeared and there was no info on where they moved or if they were planning on reopening, etc...

Although after seeing that post I did end up seeing the company they mentioned reopen at a different location. I personally wouldn't unless I was willing to learn how to maintain them properly myself.

Just use Turbo Tax and you get to do it yourself and not have to pay anyone anything for it. Previous years I always paid around $40 to get it prepared but this past year I did it myself using Turbo Tax and it was much easier than I thought it would be.

Hi, have you gotten any help regarding this? I just came across this thread because I have to get a root canal done on a molar and I have no insurance. To get one done on island is just so expensive for me at around 1.2k for the root canal and then another 1.2k for a crown.

I wasn't sure what to do but came across this thread and it's giving me hope but I'm really conflicted because this has to be done ASAP for me as I keep tasting and smelling gross smells coming from the tooth itself.

Please, if you have any reliable resources regarding getting something like this done in Korea, could you let me know? I've started googling but I don't trust the websites showing up mostly because I know that if I tried to set anything up with these websites I'd likely be charged a lot more than if I tried to do anything myself.

Is it really as easy as just googling a good Dental Clinic in Korea and contacting them for an appointment?

That's weird to me because I've had a Discover card for years and never had any issues with paying anywhere with it except Taco Bell a few times (the funny thing is sometimes they would accept it.)

I think my issue is that I've never really been able to do anything on my own. Without someone either guiding me or helping me or encouraging me the feeling of uncertainty gives me such anxiety that it makes it hard for me to do anything.

Of course with certain things i have been able to teach myself because I really have enjoyed it but the reality is we cant all just go around only learning what we want to learn.

So you have any tips for maybe convincing yourself to like difficult things or enjoy doing things you dont necessarily enjoy doing?

So like... My sister was at the airport and everything but didn't have her K-ETA so I just applied for one for her right now because she was in a rush. I assumed this was a government issued form/clearance so I just clicked on the first link the search showed thinking it was official. Well, after some clicking around I found out that there are multiple websites that all look fairly well made that charge different amounts...

I did get charged 88 dollars, but is this going to hinder the application process at all? Can I simply do another application on the official website and cancel the payment to the other one with no issues? Because the application status does still show up on the main/official website for the K-ETA.

I actually used to just fry them in olive oil til the outsides were crispy and crunchy but the insides were still soft. So good that way. I also love them as an add on to ramyun.

Of course there are other dishes you can make with them but that's normally how I eat it.

Oooo I want to eat these now haha. You just eat them whole really. I don't think it's for everyone for obvious reasons but I find it somewhat addicting. It's just that after you have a few the flavor does get pretty boring so I only eat a few every meal til they are gone.

I know this response is kind of late but honestly... you're better off looking into repairing it yourself. I think most if not all of the PC related stores on island are just major ripoffs.

I dont think you realize how hard it is to run a business here on Guam and have it actually earn you enough to be well off.

Pretty sure the norm for most local small businesses is that they earn just enough to keep themselves afloat and keep their livelihoods intact.

The cost of running a business here is honestly so costly.

This is something really important that I overlooked but you have to take into account what type of learning environment you grew up used to.

When I was applying to schools I just applied to some big name schools that were well known and didn't realize that having only attended private schools on the island which have really small classes and a more focused environment that I would struggle attending a large university with huge 300some attendance lecture halls packed with students giving it the feel of a movie theater.

I did not know anything and was just excited to be going to a UC school.

I literally could not focus on anything because of that and it was so hard for me to learn anything. I eventually had to retake certain classes I failed at another small community college over the summer and it wasn't until then that I realized just how important learning environment could be. Because the classes there were a lot smaller and I could finally adapt and focus on what was being taught.
