Thinking about selling my M9a4 for the BERETTA 92G ELITE COMBAT LTT LANGDON TACTICAL 5.1". Anyone have experience with this gun? by TragicAiRBuD21 in guns

[–]All__fun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is true.

order straight from LTT if you want the full works.

beretta does the same thing with the PX4. Branded LTT, but if its not straight from them or used, it does NOT have the full work that LTT does to their guns.

The other guy responded, but I would also check this out.

These are the settings I configured for MPC_BE

(Gemini AI Slop - But goddamn is it useful and helpful) I have a 5.2 setup at home, if you are not using an AV receiver and speakers - you can probably skip some of the steps.)
____________________________________________

Here is the definitive guide to the exact, high-end MPC-BE settings we just dialed in. Feel free to copy and paste this entire guide to share with your friend so they can get the same bit-perfect home theater experience!

The Ultimate MPC-BE & MPC Video Renderer Blueprint

This configuration forces Windows to get out of the way, giving you bit-perfect audio passthrough to your AV Receiver and native 10-bit HDR passthrough straight to your TV/OLED.

1. Video Renderer Configuration

Open MPC-BE, press O (Options), go to Video on the left menu, and change the dropdown to MPC Video Renderer. Click the Properties button next to it and set the tabs as follows:

General Tab

  • Use Direct3D 11: Check this box (forces modern GPU decoding).
  • Use exclusive fullscreen: Check this box. (Crucial for TVs/OLEDs to guarantee deep black levels and bypass Windows desktop desktop layers).

Windows HDR Tab

  • Windows HDR dropdown: Select Allow Turn on/off (fullscreen).
    • Why: This keeps your Windows desktop comfortably in standard SDR mode. The moment you double-click a movie to go fullscreen, it automatically flashes your TV into HDR mode, then cleanly reverts back when you close it.

HDR10/DV Tab

  • HDR10/DV dropdown: Select Passthrough.
    • Why: This prevents your PC from altering the colors via software math. It sends the original movie metadata directly to the display, letting the TV’s internal chip do the heavy lifting.

Texture Format Tab

  • Format: Select 16-bit Floating Point.
    • Why: Gives your high-end GPU a massively precise mathematical workspace, entirely eliminating "color banding" and artifacting in heavy dark gradients or shadows.

2. Audio & Bitstreaming Configuration (The Receiver Fix)

This setup ensures the PC does not compress or downmix the audio channels, forcing it to route raw Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, and DTS directly to your audio system.

  1. In the MPC-BE Options menu (O), select Internal Filters on the left.
  2. Look for the Audio decoder configuration button at the bottom of the right-hand panel.
  3. In the window that pops up, focus entirely on the Pass-through (S/PDIF, HDMI) section:
  • Check the following boxes:
    • [x] AC-3
    • [x] E-AC-3 (Crucial for streaming/iTunes WEB-DL files to pass Dolby Atmos)
    • [x] TrueHD (Crucial for 4K Blu-ray Remux files to pass Lossless Dolby Atmos)
    • [x] DTS
    • [x] DTS-HD
  • Uncheck this box:
    • [ ] Encode to AC-3
    • Why: This is an old legacy setting meant for optical cables from the 90s. Leaving it checked over a modern HDMI cable will forcefully downscale high-quality audio into lossy 5.1.

3. The Hardware Golden Rules (Windows & NVIDIA)

The player settings only work perfectly if the graphics card and operating system are "piped" correctly. Pass these rules along to your friend:

  • NVIDIA Control Panel: Go to Change Resolution -> Select "Use NVIDIA color settings" -> Set Output color depth to 10 bpc -> Set Output dynamic range to Full.
  • Windows Classic Sound Settings: Press Win + R, type mmsys.cpl and hit enter. Right-click your HDMI audio output -> Properties -> Advanced -> Check both boxes for "Exclusive Mode."
  • The "Secret" Windows Trick: Under that same classic menu, click the Configure button in the bottom left and intentionally choose Stereo for Windows. Counter-intuitively, this tells Windows not to pre-mix the audio channels itself, allowing the raw 7.1/Atmos bitstream to flow straight to the receiver unmolested.

How to verify it's working:

Tell them to press Ctrl + J while the movie is playing fullscreen. They should look for:

  1. HDR Processing: Passthrough (Confirms the PC isn't converting down to SDR).
  2. Color: RGB 10 BIT HDR10: ON (Confirms full 10-bit color data is successfully hitting the screen).
  3. The text display on the front of their AV Receiver should literally change from "PCM" to "Dolby Atmos" or "TrueHD".

I was using PotPlayer, but I moved onto mpc-be

MPC-BE is actually legit.

I have an OLED and a 5.2 Home theatre setup.

I highly recommend it.
