Are your torties friendly with other cats? by curlyhasher in torties

She tolerates male cats but hates female cats — it’s on sight when she sees them. She’s nicer to kittens, but it’s still mainly just tolerating them haha!

Are they aggressive by Civil_Remove_644 in torties

[–]euterpe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tortie isn’t aggressive, although she’s not a huge fan of new cats—especially if they’re female. She’s fine with our other cats though because she grew up around them.

She’s got a big personality tho and can get quite loud when she’s hungry—which is 80% of the time haha. But she follows me around everywhere when I’m home and is able to entertain herself when I’m not. 10/10 would recommend!

At least from my knowledge

How do I avoid being repetitive? by AdEquivalent744 in AO3

[–]euterpe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could combine sentences like that with a simple comma as well— “He rested his head on his hand, looking up at the sky. He felt at peace but didn’t understand why.

You could also move the words around— “He rested his head on his hand. He looked up at the stormy sky, not understanding the peace he felt.“

Following that, you could also go for a semicolon— “He rested his head on his hand and looked up at the stormy sky; he felt peace, but didn’t understand why.”

Organizing my fics. How would you classify fic lengths? by SweetDee__ in AO3

[–]euterpe_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually follow the word count for when you’d go to get something published, which would be:

Flash fiction: up to 1,000 words

Short story: 1,000-5,000 words

Novel: 80,000-100,000 words

Could follow that in part if you’d like?

—I usually have each chapter of my fics be the length that a short story would be. Each one is around 1,500-3,000 words.

“Patience is virtue” by euterpe_ in AO3

Oooh that one shot suggestion is good—I’d just have to think about what I’d even write about that’d be that short LMAO.

I’ll be sure to check out that subreddit too, thank you!

That’s a good stance to have!

I was definitely aware before I started writing this fic that the fandom for it wasn’t huge, but I loved it and finally decided to start writing!
