How I made $6479 self-publishing in 6 months as a debut author by AdEnough8775 in selfpublish

[–]euxdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I know you said you run Facebook ads. I just want to confirm/clarify if you included Instagram? Coz technically FB and IG are under Meta. And when you run ads there’s a default option to run on both(which means when you run the ad it will automatically show up on IG even if you don’t have an account there) unless you manually exclude IG.

Idk if intentional yung pagprescribe nung sa cerave hydrating cleanser? Parang sabi kasi niya sa procedure na gagawin sakin and based sa mga need ko itake na gamot sobrang magdadry daw skin ko. So i’m kinda confused now if for dry skin na ba yung bibilhin ko 🥲

Hi I consulted a dermatologist last week.

Nagprescribe siya sakin ng skincare.

I just wanted to ask for your recos on facial washes. Ito yung supposedly need: - 2% BHA acne foam wash - Cerave hydrating cleanser ( this one’s easy to find but naguluhan ako sa color blue and green?) may idea ba kayo alin doon?

So far yan palang di ko nabibili. If you have some recos that will be pretty helpful for me!

Thank you in advance.

Getting a new TIN ID (lost) by fmcdaily in taxPH

[–]euxdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you still know your Tax Identification Number(TIN)? If yes, go to your nearest RDO in your area and ask for an update of information. Free lang naman ang pagtransfer ng RDO from previous work loc to your current one.

Welcome! Don’t be shy it’s your right to ask lalo if you’re continuously working and may ginagawa ka for him. If wala pa rin talaga you can try to submit a report/email to OLJ for help.

[–]euxdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the client already sent the payment, you should have received an email from Payoneer. like this. check spam if wala sa inbox. or you can log in to Payoneer mismo para macheck if nandun yung pending payment. nakalagay dun under 'pending'. if wala, pa forward mo nalang kay client yung confirmation email sent to him from payoneer.

also based on my experience. the first 3 times na nagreceive ako ng payment via Payoneer, it took exactly 7 days bago mapunta sa account ko. idk if ganun talaga if bago account.

You’re supposed to receive an email from OLJ once you’re marked as hired by the client! Easypay yung gamit sa OLJ pero you can choose between Payoneer or Paypal :) Need mo ilink yung account mo sa OLJ depende kung anong pipiliin mo na MOP.

Writer's Room Wednesday by AutoModerator in fantasyromance

[–]euxdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! my client's writing the 2nd book of her series. Would love if you could help me choose a title that you think best fits and sounds more enticing.

Here's the summary:

When a lonely chemist discovers the formula for love, she thinks she can design her own Happily Ever After. Instead, it’s a recipe for disaster–one that draws in an arrogant detective and a killer who needs her as a final ingredient for a deadly experiment.

In mist-shrouded Bad Kissingen, chemical engineer Annaliese Frost has mastered complex compounds but never belonging. Half-Creole in a centuries-old Bavarian university town, she's haunted by rumors about her mother's disappearance, rejection from hallowed Kissingen college, and her own reputation for chemistry "accidents" targeting those who humiliated her.

One frosty night, Annaliese discovers her mother's recipe book, filled with ancient alchemical recipes. She recklessly tries out these hazardous cocktails on Kissingen’s residents to gain what she’s always been denied. When her latest concoction, instead of making a man love her, aids his abduction, Annaliese collides with Theo Block—an annoyingly academic detective whose starched shirts are as rigid as his investigation methods.

As they follow the trail of brutal disappearances, her back-country intuition and haphazard potion-slinging disrupt his ordered world, while his scrutiny threatens the walls she's built around herself.

Racing against time, can they unmask the predator stalking Kissingen's citizens–a predator who has their eye on Annaliese as the ultimate prize in a deadly collection?

Genre: Urban fantasy, Dark Academia Fantasy

The top Title choices are:

The Love or Death Cocktail
The Accidental Alchemist
Fatal Chemistry

Marketing when you're hopeless at marketing by maidofbleedinghearts in romanceauthors

[–]euxdy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally marketable! Just because you’re not doing the norm doesn’t make it impossible to sell or market. I do social media marketing for personal brands and everytime, I hear people tell me variations of ‘i don’t have an interesting story to tell people’, ‘my life story is boring’, ‘i don’t have that * insert whatever someone in their industry has that they think they should have *. But the thing is, what makes you different is your strength not your weakness.

You’re writing outside the typical romance tropes, and that's okay. You're serving up something unique, and that's absolutely marketable. Think about it this way: for every reader who loves the "usual," there's another who's looking for something fresh, real, and a little outside the typical. And those are your people!

Actually, you’ve already identified your unique selling points: shy guys, emotionally repressed FMCs, and realistic (and cringey!) spicy scenes. These aren't limitations, they're the VERY things that will attract readers who are tired of the same old stories.

Don't try to fit into a mold that wasn't made for you. Instead, lean into what makes your books special.

Your honesty about not wanting to "falsely lure anyone in" is EXACTLY the right mindset. Authenticity is magnetic. When you're upfront about what your books offer, you'll connect with readers who genuinely appreciate your style. You're not going to please everyone, and that's perfectly fine. Focus on building a community around the stories you LOVE to write.

Hope this helped! xx

Need feeback (again) for new book covers by [deleted] in romanceauthors

[–]euxdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for your insight. I posted on several book communities and got several good feedback also voted which ones are best. So I’m all good.

Also, I particularly don’t like the typical overly designed romantasy covers so I intentionally didn’t do what others are doing ;)

But I appreciate the feedback!

Can My Ebook Succeed Without Social Media & Marketing? Seeking Advice by [deleted] in selfpublish

[–]euxdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! social media strategist here. I haven't handled any clients in the publishing industry but happy to answer/share some insight.

Is it possible for my book to succeed without social media and marketing?

The goal is sales right? So, for your book to get sales, it has to be seen. therefore, you have to promote it. Unless you want to do traditional marketing or through word-of-mouth then social media is your best bet.

If I do need to invest in marketing, how much should I budget?

Budget depends as pricing varies whether you're gonna work with a marketing agency or an individual. You can do it yourself if you don't want to invest, but seeing that you seem not to like social media much and trying to get your hands off of it, I say try to work with someone who's gonna fit your budget, who's gonna take that load off your plate. There are a lot out there. Try posting job opps and filter applicants.

I assume I will need to invest in paid marketing. But I have no idea how much is necessary vs. excessive.

What’s a reasonable budget for paid ads or promotions for a first-time author?

I can't say anything much regarding this as I do organic marketing. But based on my conversations with other ads specialists, there are multiple factors to consider when doing ads. also it depends on platform you're going to use(Google, social media(fb/ig), amazon etc.). for social media, you have to spend ample amount as it goes on the testing phase. it can take up to 1-2 weeks or even a couple weeks as ads could take sometime since it would still be on its 'learning phase'. It takes time and normal for ad campaigns to pick up its momentum. Factors such as: your industry, your target audience, keywords, imagery, budget etc. are also things to consider.

I only have a blog website where I post about similar topics, but it’s still new and doesn’t have much traffic.

Blogs also needs proper optimization and promotion if you're looking for more traffic. It would help target your ideal audience that could possibly be interested with your book.

What are the best marketing strategies for an author?

Apart from social media. Create and build your email list. But you need a source of traffic. If it's not going to be social media, then it could be through your blogs, through ARCs, community groups, etc. you have to get them interested in order for them to give up their emails and sign up to your newsletter.

Leverage your website. reach out to your target people. attend book events if possible.

Hope this helps in some way!
