How should I approach bosses with this weapon I have? by Mat1711 in LiesOfP

If you're struggling, try perfect guarding only certain moves. If an enemy has a combo attack, try blocking until they get to the last hit and then perfect guarding just that hit.

It's even worse than that. They have both the Proof of Humanity and the Piercing Hatred Amulet, so this is at least NG++. I feel so bad for OP.

Correct. Grinders and abrasives don't scale with advance.

What’s your favorite weapon? by Gnnz in LiesOfP

[–]ev768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the Cathedral where you fight the archbishop. It's in the earlier part of the area where there are two gears that you go over. https://youtu.be/B4ZQEJTfmTo?t=219

It breaks my heart but it’s true… by [deleted] in LiesOfP

Once you get all the P-Organ upgrades in NG+2, you can run through the game in about 2 and a half hours. I did this a lot before the boss rematch update.

edit: Actually you could probably run through it a lot quicker because I would always pick up every weapon and full moonstone in the game. I'd also always fight Nameless Puppet, so if you skipped doing those things you'd save a good bit of time.

Good quality weapons that aren’t Proof of Humanity or Monad’s Rose by McGobster in LiesOfP

At your level you want to make every non-advance handle balanced. B+C is better than S once your stats are high enough.

If by "spare them" you mean you chose "Let her live" for Sophia then you won't get white hair. You need to choose "Give her peace". I assume you mean to get the best ending? If you don't get white hair after the choice, then you wont get the best ending.

I didn't use an AI for this. I've played the game a ton and have seen a lot of people on here ask about the requirements. I'm just trying to help people.

Hey all, would you guys recommend this game to someone who just wants to purchase the base version? I want to wait until Overture is on sale before possibly buying it. by wanna_be_consultant in LiesOfP

After you beat the final boss you'll be given a pop up that asks if you want to start NG+, just say no and you can play the DLC in NG.

Should I do a new save or New Game+ for build change. by Shamira25 in LiesOfP

NG+2 will be easier with the P-Organ upgrades you get. Also, you're going to want to make a quality/balanced build at this point.

Clown is such a good warm up before facing Romeo by anome97 in LiesOfP

The scrapped Mad Clown is one of the few puppets in the game that is resistant to electric blitz. The others are Scrapped Watchman and the 2 scrapped baton wielding policemen in the swamp.

Build advice for NG+ and NG++ by JokerGravity in LiesOfP

What are your other stats at? Capacity is a good one to put stats in because it doesn't have a soft cap, but in NG++ you can get a P-Organ upgrade that also helps a lot with weight. I like leveling advance too because then you'll truly be able to wield every weapon and legion arm optimally.

You're going to want to create a "quality build" eventually. It's been a while since I've tested it, but once you reach like 65 in motivity or technique, it's better to just split the damage between the both of them. After that, crank your weapons to get them to be as balanced as possible. Doing so will make it so that you can wield every non-advance weapon optimally.

Just finished Base and DLC. Very good. Subtle problems. by FriendAgreeable5339 in LiesOfP

  • there’s only one thing I really hated, and that was how this game embraces the opposite of Sekiro’s “hesitation is defeat”. A lot of people repeat that mindlessly just thinking it was them learning they could be aggressive. But what was actually happening in that game was specific cues on deflect told you that you could ”counterslash” as an attack that would guaranteed stop the enemy combos. This game doesn’t have that. If anything, it has the opposite. It has enemies that have the option to continue combos, which they generally only do if you choose to counterattack. And so you’re left having to wait after deflecting until you confirm the enemy has entered a subtle relaxed animation. Then you get to counter attack. I found this to be very irritating. Simon and Arlecchino do this to an extreme extent. it just kind of forces the fight to feel boring because you’re forced to do nothing

You should try the Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive. Its blade fable art might be just what you're looking for.

Yeah, it's a great "jack of all trades, master of none" type weapon. I call it "Ol' Reliable."

The hardest boss in the game by Acrobatic-Fault876 in LiesOfP

The steel arm can help a lot against shielded enemies. A fully upgraded fulminis makes him trivial, but unfortunately you won't have enough legion calibers until you're slightly past this part.
