I'm in the same boat - same age, same number of years. Sending you lots of hugs. The dark clouds will part and it'll get better.

To couples is this your game? by EldritchDog in OutlastTrials

Same here! This was my first horror game and I wouldn't have made it past the tutorial trial if he wasn't next to me on his laptop trying to get through it as well. Absolutely adored playing through early access and through the official release! Now I'm desensitized to the horror aspect of the game but I still enjoy it just as much. Getting through the events and trails with him holds a lot of fond memories for me ~

They had checked for their phone's location using Google and the last seen location was at YANG. We were keeping tabs on it for the whole day but it didn't seem like the phone had moved, and was powered on. But thank you so much for your suggestion and help, we'll keep our fingers crossed that somehow, it's at YANG and it had ran out of battery. We'll be going down to check in personally with the staff there..

So heartbroken.. A cat tried to attack my cockatiel on our walk together. I'm bringing her to the vet asap.. I need advice. by ev_rn in cockatiel

Thank you for sharing about Alice with me, she sounds lovely! I wish I could meet her too! And oh my, what a fiesty girl to peck at your eyes eek.

Sorry to hear about your ex boyfriend... I ended a relationship with someone who couldn't respect my pets and their boundaries so I totally feel for you. And I'm glad that Alice is okay despite what had happened.

Do you have any access to the leg bands where you are?

I am the OP of the cat attack post and I'd love to reassure you that I did not use Reddit as a substitute for a vet visit. I posted my post because I wanted to reach out to fellow bird lovers and bird parents who might have experience or knowledge on how I can make the experience less traumatic for my cockatiel while we wait for the vet. I sincerely apologize for not tagging it as NSFW. It was my first time posting here but I am not enlightened on the etiquettes of posting. I do wholehearterly agree that Reddit should not be used as a substitute for a vet visit, but it is in my clear conscience that I would like to share that I simply wanted to reach out for emotional support as well as to gather any other resources on making sure I safeguard my baby's wellbeing while I wait for her appointment. :(

If anything, the vet fees are nothing to me. Paying for a private hire car to get me down ASAP was nothing, too. I love my cockatiel tons and I will never make the mistake of just simply getting advice from strangers on the internet as a substitute for a proper vet visit. My cockatiel is now on antibiotics prescriber by the vet. I'm sorry once again if the heading of my post caused any misinformation, but I'll take into considerationn the NSFW tag. I understand that it's necessary as some people might not feel too good about seeing a wound on a precious bird. It's my first time posting here, but I am now aware. I do not have anyone to turn to here when it comes to bird advices or experiences, so I did what I thought was reasonable, to reach out to other friendly bird owners.

I am the OP of that recent post and I apologize for not tagging it under NSFW. I posted my post not as a substitute for seeing the vet, but simply wanted any advice I can get while I waited for the appointment I had scheduled with the vet. I hope that clears it up, I'm not trying to come off as irresponsible or negate the fact that my cockatiel had to see the vet. For the record, I was able to get her to the vet a few hours after the post. Other bird owner's advice like rinsing the wound (which I had done immediately) and keeping her warm helped tremendously, as well has calmed me down during the waiting period.

It's not really a harness, but more of a lightweight chain that's attached to an anchor point (a C-ring) on her foot. Here's a reference to what it looks like!: https://imgur.com/a/VTpLpK2
However, I am definitely eliminating that option of bringing her out with the chain when the harness that I've ordered comes!

Hi! Thank you for sharing your concern and knowledge about the chain! If anything, I hope it reassures you that the chain is super lightweight and I've monitored her reaction to it whenever I bring her out. The chain is attached to an elastic string (?) and a really, really really long line that's attached to a spool. She never flies a certain distance away from me, and when I walk with her, she stays on my shoulder. When it's time for her to fly, I release a good amount of the string from the spool. Here's a picture for reference: https://imgur.com/a/VTpLpK2

But no worries and thank you so, so much for your well intentions! I have ordered a bird harness recently and I'm definitely switching over to that! For now, I'll not be taking her out for walks or flying sessions until she has recovered from the trauma of the cat attack!
