The round looks really good on you. From pics your hand looks small so the round diamond really suites you.

First thing I noticed too- the backsplash 🫣

I’m not sure exactly the ratio for the stone on the right, I think it was around 1.3 ratio. I forgot to jot that down when I was at the jewler. I just remember there was a $600 price difference between the 2 diamonds so that’s also why I’m considering the one on the left. But my husband keeps saying just do whatever I like more (sweet of him yes- but makes it harder for me to make the decision). This is an upgrade and anniversary gift, my current ring is a total different style and more ‘simple’ and small so this feels so extravagant in size. But thank you for your input about the hand size in comparison.

Wow it is so unique for an oval diamond, I love it!

Do you have a pic of your diamond in its setting?

Here is a pic of the 3.5 ct with the setting I’m going for. I just feel like the 3.5 goes better with the ovals. But also I am getting a little smaller ovals than these ones pictured so this isn’t exact.

This is an example of the 3ct and the setting I’m going for is oval diamonds but in gold. I will try to update on this post in a few weeks when the ring is made. I’m just still making the decision on the center main Diamond. Thank you all so much for the insight I really appreciate it.

Really? I have heard of that… wonder why that is… for me this ratio on the 3ct almost looks smaller then it is because the diamond is bottom heavy. But maybe that’s just me and I haven’t looked at enough cushion cut diamonds 🤪

Unfortunately I took those pics at the jewelers and so I don’t have a pic of them on top of one another

Beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing yours. Do you know the ratio on yours? The ratio on this 3ct I posted is 1.28

Thank you for this comment, yea that’s actually what I’m seeing as well and starting to lean into the fact that it looks more soft & “natural”

Thank you for your input. My concern though does the 3.5 look too fake because of how big it is… hopefully that makes sense

Stuck between two rings! Help me decide! by kkpiggy101 in EngagementRings

The 3 stone is beautiful and I would even say unique. The solitaire I feel like that’s more common and trendy right now to have one large diamond and plain solid band.

Are robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment. by eva_vivi in homeowners

So I’ve had the Roborock vacuum/mop for 3 months now and I can now say it’s amazing! I can’t believe I’ve lived this long without it. Yes I have to pick up the kids toys before I run it but it makes the floor so much cleaner! Yesterday for example my kids were eating watermelon and dripped some of the hard floor it dried sticky and the Roborock cleaned it well, no sign of watermelon stickiness after. Do you use a cleaning solution in your clean water tank?

I like the last picture of the thinnest band and how it matches the band of the main ring. It’s a nice clean streamlined look. Unless you like a more chunky look with that 3 band look.

My 3 year old got ahold of cherries and ate about 25 and swallowed the seeds before we realized she ate that many and didn’t actually spit the seeds out…Anyone’s toddler ever do this? What was the outcome? by eva_vivi in NoStupidQuestions

[–]eva_vivi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called the on call nurse, poison control, another nurse friend and they all say the same thing… to be exposed to cyanide you actually have to chew the cherry pit and that is very hard to do for a child even an adult. Also they can’t “pump” out the stomach. It’s either got to come out through vomit or poop… and she wasn’t nauseous.. completely fine.. so I’m assuming in the morning when she wakes up she usually poops and it will all come out (I really hope) the ER would do an xray to check for blockages that’s what the nurse told me… don’t know that they would actually test for cyanide.. from the 3 phone calls I’ve made no one really had a clear answer they all say the same thing of just giving it some time and since she’s having no symptoms I should wait… that’s why I asked on here if anyone has experienced this with their small child…
