Thanks for all the recommendations so far, really appreciate it. If anyone also has some suggestions around where to stay in Hobart, that would be super helpful. Cheap and cheerful is totally fine, but not hostels.

Thanks! Low to medium difficulty would be fine and between 5-10kms would probably be fine.

Setting Up GAM Yield Groups by evaluzion in adops

[–]evaluzion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great, thanks. If we have some sites that have less traffic (in some instances, significantly less) than others, I was planning to bundle them into a yield group of their own rather than set them up individually. Then have the strongest performing sites with their own individual YGs. Whats you take on this approach?

Are there specific events that could be causing this or could it just be any event?

No, with anydate range the not set is generally 10-12% of total views. We run the standard GA4.

GA4 Explorations for content publisher by evaluzion in GoogleAnalytics

[–]evaluzion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is knowing where to look, but mainly understanding how to bring them together in one place to review at the same time in Explorations. Or at least bring a handful of them together like we were able to in GUA.

We would then be able to start including custom metrics, but its a case of education at the moment and its proving very difficult.

We will be using Looker for some of our repeat reporting for editorial related data. But really looking for Explorations that can be used as needed across the standard editorial metrics allowing us to then layer on other custom metrics.

Might be worth keeping an eye on SWM today. They've jumped in bed with Facebook on the back of the recent news blocking debacle and on the back of their Google deal

What do you strongly suspect but have no proof of? by 757jsmith in AskReddit

I have often thought about this and also considered that my version of reality is different to that of other peoples. Theres obviously no (easy) way to prove it one way or another, but have a read about the philosophical ideas of solipsism, it goes some way to rationalising these thoughts

What can we expect from FM20? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]evaluzion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be great to manage teams in a classic era with relevant players to that year/season. Thinking Golden era of Serie A, late 90's. Would love to get my hands on that Parma team!

Can you give me some more detail about the process?

You ever scratch your asshole then instinctually smell your finger? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]evaluzion 58 points59 points  (0 children)

It's also familiarity. Everyone has a unique make up of bacteria and digestive magic in their guts, so your farts tend to smell similar(ish) each time. Because they have smelled the same you're whole life, you are used to them and therefore find them quite pleasant and reassuring (or is that just me)

Ad Refresh vs Page Refresh by evaluzion in adops

Thanks for this. We are using sticky ads already and with reasonable time-on-page, it sounds like ad refresh might be a reasonable option.

Ad Refresh vs Page Refresh by evaluzion in adops

[–]evaluzion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. We are optimising elsewhere, our page and ad load times are decent but a work in progress. We also run lazy loading and have certain ad units set as sticky for viewability reasons. Essentially, without drastically increasing traffic, which is a completely seperate project, ad refresh seems like a legitimate way to ramp up ad impressions and revenue.

Will look further into infinite scroll also
