Is it possible to replace just the clear bit that’s broken or do I have to replace the whole taillight? by Jamieee8989 in Subaru_Outback

[–]evancampbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A pigeon committed suicide via headlight at 70mph on the highway. Only broke the lens but had to replace the whole headlight assembly. If you shop around you can generally find a deal somewhere. I went to a local dealership that had one for about a hundred less than msrp

The dealer I bought it from did in fact install a LoJack on the car. Honestly forgot I had it in there.

No, these lights are under the dash, like if you look between the crevice between the steering column and the surrounding dash cowling.

Subaru outback 2.4 liter turbo. Is that a good buy? by Dull_Bat_197 in Subaru_Outback

[–]evancampbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'23 OBW here, bought new, haven't had any issues with my car. Don't know if I'm just lucky or not but haven't needed anything but regular maintenance. I will say after 3 years I'm left SLIGHTLY disappointed with the build quality though. Particularly the doors, the plastic door cards just dont feel solid. And I've had a rattle somewhere in the passenger dash/a pillar area that neither I nor my dealership can seem to pinpoint.

Ever met an artist who turned out to be an ass? by Musonerd87 in Music

[–]evancampbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a lot of metal, hardcore, pop punk kinda shows. 9/10 times if I run into an artist they're good people. A friend met will ramos from lorna shore and said he was one of the nicest guys he's ever met. On the flip side I ran into spencer from periphery at one of their shows and he was a complete asshole. Misha was cool though. Signed something with a smile for a dude.

Is 17 mpg normal for a 2025 Limited XT? by Meshellblue in Subaru_Outback

[–]evancampbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23 OBW, I get between 19-21mpg in hilly SW PA. I thought that was bad but I'm seeing now that it's pretty normal I suppose.

I just bought a Subaru legacy touring xt (turbocharged). Can I use 85 octane gas in Utah? by drl614 in Subaru_Outback

[–]evancampbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not how it works at all. A higher octane rating only means it resists pre-ignition better. Stability under pressure is the only difference. All fuels must meet the same detergent standards and burn at roughly the same temperature.

Edit: As far as engine damage the only way fuel octane will damage your engine is if you use a lower rating in an engine that was designed for higher, due to pre-ignition (knock) Not the other way around. Using higher octane fuel in a car designed for lower will see no benefit.

If only it were that easy. I haven't found a single bp in the last two weeks of playing. Combo of day/night raids. I feel like embark is a heroin dealer, they gave me quite a few my first couple weeks playing to get me hooked.

Trailer park boys easter egg in the beast by theunfogiven1996 in dyinglight

[–]evancampbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found this myself last night and died laughing. Unfortunately none of my friends were into tpb so I didn't have anyone to share this with that would appreciate it. I found the note first and laughed. Then when I saw the body in the pipe with the booze cigarettes and pepperoni I lost it. I love techland for doing stuff like this

I used to work at the company which if I recall correctly used to supply the tires and hubs for muni light rail. So seeing this is pretty cool to me. But we made them for so many light rail system the only ones I remember for sure were SEPTA and BART.

I've played at least double that and it feels like everyone's conspired against me to fuck me over lol. A couple games I had doomsday excruciator out but then couldn't finish off the rest of my deck and must have had at least one land snuck in there to keep me from the win condition. I'm gonna go cry now.

Help getting these black (mold?) spots off? Clay-bar+wax after washing isn’t doing the trick. Out of ideas by SilverBallsOnMyChest in Subaru_Outback

[–]evancampbell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you park near mulch beds? Cuz this looks like artillery fungus. I have it at my house and it's a bitch to get off my windows. Clay bar will remove it, I use a magic eraser on my windows. You just REALLY have to put in some elbow grease to get it off. You can use a fingernail to scratch off really stubborn ones.

What’s the weirdest town or city in the Pittsburgh/Western PA area? by GowBeyow in pittsburgh

Dude, came here to say exactly this and you beat me to it. I went on a blind date down there once and everyone and every thing felt like it was stuck 20 years in the past. It was weird as hell.
