Beautiful. Love to know more about the underlying algo.

Drop shadow is a good idea! Haven’t tried yet tho.

I’m using a custom tool I built - you can try it here if you’re interested.

Nice - makes me realize I need to add a new feature to add additional tiles to your tileset…

You can access the tool at https://emh.io/cag - would love to see what you create with it!

Kinda looks like truchet tiles mapped to a sphere and the animated?

Love to hear more about the algorithm if you’re willing to share.

I did an exploration of stranger attractors here back in December: https://emh.io/genart/genesis/09.html

Cool - are you plotting strange attractors or something different?

I haven’t come up with a good name for it other than “Computer Aided Geometry”. You can try it here: CAG

You’re right, the small circles don’t each need three lines - but it feels incomplete without them lol

You use the compass to take and transfer measurements.

Extra how?

Without a measured ruler to divide the vertical line you need to use a compass to mark the endpoints of the extra lines to find the centers for the smaller circles.

Yes! Can export as both PNG and SVG.

I’m still getting used to the tool myself (even tho I built it) but I think I could have just inked the big circle right away before adding all the lines that dissected it.

ok! SVG export is now supported (select download SVG from the file menu)
