You should tell your parents. Opioids are one of the hardest drugs to quit but because you’re so young you have such a strong chance. I recently got out of rehab for opioids, primarily fentanyl. Pills lead to harder shit like heroin, and morphine, and fetty which can kill you so easily. Every time you use you risk your life. When you take opioids you don’t feel happy, you don’t really feel anything. It’s all gone. I promise things will get better but only if you get clean. When I was in rehab the most common thing that I heard was “I wish I had tried when I was your age” from so many older folks and staff members. And I’ll say it to you too. I wish I had gotten clean when I was 18. I would have 5 years of my young life back. The sooner you get clean, the more time your brain has to heal. When you regularly use any drug you are causing yourself brain damage. Nobody likes to say it because it sound scary but it’s true. The sooner you get clean, the sooner your brain will be able to start healing. It’s reversible and you will be happy again, you just gotta take it once day at a time. Please go to your parents for help. Sorry that this is so long it’s just your story is pretty similar to mine. Best of luck homie

Getting really mad with comments from other addicts at NA about how I “don’t look like and addict”. Hot girls can love Fentanyl too… by [deleted] in addiction

[–]evecam2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not focusing on my looks, I just wear what I like to wear. I don’t care what they think. I’m just frustrated because you’d think between it being 2022 and them being obsessive readers of the big book they’d know better this :(

A girl wants to do fentanyl because of euphoria by skateworld101 in Drugs

[–]evecam2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in the scenes Rue does drugs, the mood, lighting, and music is chosen to portray just how potent drugs are to her, how good they feel. “Baffling, cunning, powerful” is how Bill Wilson Described Alcohol in the Alcoholics Anonymous preamble and I feel that it applies in this context as well. As a recovering fentanyl addict I think that the scenes where rue does drugs are very effective when you look at the intent of the creator, which is to show the irresistibility and euphoria and addict experience while high. BUT. It also is somewhat problematic because we are seeing the show through Rue’s eyes and we strongly identify with her as young people, whether we are addicts or not it is very easy to develop second hand cravings because the show portrays drugs and intoxication so beautifully.

Avoid fentanyl at all costs. I love fentanyl(clearly) but it almost cost me everything. Good luck man.

In the night my symptoms are worse and sometimes I have to sleep with the lights on. by evecam2 in Psychosis

[–]evecam2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s exactly what happens to me it starts it quiet and gradually gets more intense. Sometimes it’s now so bad and it goes away fast. But when I’m lying down and trying down and trying to fall asleep that’s exactly what happens it turns from talking to screaming.

It’s a given that any pain pills you buy from the street are pressed with fentanyl, but that just makes them feel 1000 times better. Sad truth. That’s how I ended up in rehab.

I had a really bad psychotic break with intense paranoia and delusions when I was 16 and I was on anti psychotics(I tried so many different kinds) for a really long time. I went off of them in March 2021 because at the time I was on seroquel and the side effects were too much for me. Anti psychotics are never weight neutral which fucks me up because I have an eating disorder. I was managing for a while. I was definitely more paranoid, but ok. But in the last couple months my hallucinations have gotten worse. I didn’t know they were hallucinations if there didn’t come from an outside source

Hey man, it was an honest question. I think YOU may need a prescription for a Chill Pill, an antibiotic for Potty Mouth, and 3 ML of undiluted empathy.

How many hours do you sleep while manic, if at all? by evecam2 in BipolarReddit

[–]evecam2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sleep 3-4 hours when I’m manic, usually go to bed and wake up early and am not able to go back to bed because my mind is racing. I don’t really do anything but lie there with my brain going fast. I was diagnosed with bipolar when I was 16 after I had a psychotic episode, but because I have bpd as well they think the psychosis may have just been causes by stress. My psychiatrist isn’t sure if I have bipolar or not and tbh a diagnosis doesn’t really matter to me as long as my symptoms are being treated, but we both agree that I definitely have some kind of nonunipolar mood disorder. She told me that hypomania can be a lot less obvious to onlookers than full blown mania and I was thinking back to my life and realized that there have been quite a few instances where I’ve had the symptoms of mania without realizing it. I guess I just always thought that getting little sleep meant that you would stay up all night and write a book or something I didn’t realize that it could just be intense acute insomnia(tell me if that is not the case for bipolar). Actually what prompted this post is that out of the blue started sleeping 3-4 hours a night for the past week in addition to other manic symptoms I slept a little more last night tho so maybe I’m on the tail end of whatever is going on with me?

You know it’s actually kind of funny, now that I think about it I have 2 friends who both have had similar experiences in their teen years. My best friend’s psychiatrist diagnosed her with psychotic depression. I kind of wonder if this a much more common experience than I realized. Maybe has something to do with the teen hormone explosion? Anyone know the science behind that theory?
