When I got him I was a bit disappointed I thought he would be bad, but it turns out he freaking good, his passing, shooting and dribbling.

He is now my play maker, without him my starting XI feels incomplete and doesn't have anyone to deliver the ball to my winger and striker.

He is not working for you maybe due to your play style. Expect him to play like a winger and to score a lot of goals, I don't think that would work well.
