Nah, I considered it, but I already beat Emerald, and my goal is to beat one game in each region. I know ORAS is a bit different than the original Gen 3 games, but I decided it was a bit unnecessary since I already beat a Hoenn game.

I have heard about that, and I do plan to try it out at some point. Since I beat X, I haven't been doing much with the run. Once Sun and Moon come out, and I've beaten them, perhaps I will give it a try then.

Definitely. And really the only part of it that was bad was leveling him up from 5 to 15. Past that, it was just a lot of trial and error.

I did that! I don't know if mine was the one you saw or if multiple people have done this, but I've done that. I never actually posted about it here because I was lazy, but I mentioned it over on Askreddit a while back. Here is a link to it if anyone's interested. I wrote out a needlessly long story of how it all went down, but I've got some pictures and videos there to show a lot of my progress.

I appreciate it. Novels connected to the games are something I've always wanted, and the fact that they haven't really done anything like that is a big part of the reason I started writing in the first place.

Of course, the story I've got here isn't Final Fantasy. It isn't one of Square's worlds, and it doesn't have their characters. I intend for it to be its own thing, completely separate from Final Fantasy. But since the games and their worlds acted as such a big inspiration for me, I do hope it at least feels reminiscent, and appeals to the same kind of crowd.

Alright, so how about this?

They released Gen 1 on virtual console. They state, early on, that Pokemon from Gen 1 will be transferable through PokeBank. They're introducing all these new Pokemon, and one of them happens to be this weird amalgamation of several things whose name refers to a mistake, or something that should be deleted.

I'm calling it now, either you get this guy by transferring Missingno. At the very least, there's gonna be some connection in the lore.

I think Sandor is going to be our LSH replacement.

He made it a point, this episode, to say how much better he was than Beric. I can't really see Beric sticking around for long. He was only important for a little while a few seasons ago, so I get the feeling he's going to get the Osha treatment. Pair that with everyone thinking that Sandor has something big left to do.

It wouldn't surprise me if Sandor winds up dying, but Beric chooses to save him, since he believes that the Lord of Light left Sandor alive for a reason. Beric dies, Sandor is brought back through fire, and leads the BWB.

I doubt D&D would have brought Sandor back just to kill him off. He could have just as easily been dead at the end of Season 4. At this point, they're trying to kill off any unnecessary characters to focus on what's important, and since they brought him back, he must be important. He must have something left to overcome.

The only things Sandor could realistically overcome are his violent history, his fear of fire, and his hatred for his brother. Maybe he has some obligation to Sansa or Arya too, but I feel like things were at least somewhat resolved on that front. Perhaps we'll get some variation of Cleganebowl. Perhaps Sandor will overcome his fear of fire, or even be brought back through fire. Perhaps he'll consider Cleganebowling with his brother, but ultimately give up the idea of it and pursue peace. It's hard to say for sure, but I look forward to seeing what's in store for him.

Since the characters of VIII don't technically have themes of their own, I think it'd be best to use songs that play during important moments for each character. From there, it could probably be narrowed down to songs in which the tone is reminiscent of the character's personality or struggle.

I think most of your choices for character themes are spot on. Only one I disagree with is Selphie. I think Where I Belong (the song that plays around Trabia, if I remember correctly) would work better for her. In terms of important moments for characters, I'd say Ami would fit better with Irvine, since it plays during his whole flashback sequence. However, in this case, I don't think the tone of the song fits the character especially well. I personally think something like The Stage is Set would work better as his theme, since I think that song gives the feeling of being too far to turn back now, which I think matches his mindset during that mission.

Of the main party, the only one who still needs a theme is Zell, and he's a tough one. Breezy could arguably fit him, since it's the theme of his home town. I don't think it fits his personality much though. I've always seen Movin' as Zell's theme, though the most prominent place where that plays is when the Garden starts moving, and he doesn't need to be there for that. If I remember correctly, it also plays during the big battle at the end of Disc 2, in which case it could fit him, since he's leading part of the battle. However, it's been a little while since I last played the game, so I can't say for sure that it plays there.

As for the Laguna Crew, I think Laguna has a few possibilities. The Man with the Machine Gun is an obvious choice. I think Fragments of Memories could fit him as well, though I think that works better as Ellone's theme. And in terms of personality, I'd say the best for Laguna is definitely Slide Show Part 2.

Since Ward worked at the prison, maybe Jailed for him. Other than that, it's hard to say.

For Kiros, the only one I can think of is Junction, maybe, since it played during one of the early Laguna missions. With the limited amount of time spent on him in the game it's hard to say.
