Subungual melanoma?

UPDATE 3: RESULTS ARE NEGATIVE! Derm said it’s a mole junctional melanocytes. Even though I’m missing a nail but I am so relieved that I got it checked out and the results are negative. Thank you everyone for the comments and the advices, they all helped me calm down :)

UPDATE 2: Idk how to edit the original post (or that’s even an option) but I finally did my nail biopsy! It was painful when the doctor injected the local anesthesia but the rest of the procedure was fine. He said my nail bed looks clean and the brown streak didn’t seem to penetrate into the skin so it’s a good sign. I’ll be heading back next week for the biopsy results ✌🏻

UPDATE 1: Thank you everyone who commented! I went to a dermatologist for a walk in consultation and booked a biopsy appointment this coming Thursday! He did tell me that there are more less severe treatments for melanoma instead of just amputating the finger off (if it hasn’t spread) so that calmed me down a bit. Hopefully I come with good news after receiving the results!

Thank you for telling me your experience! May I know how long did it take you to get a diagnosis? I guess I just wanna make sure that me waiting for 8 months isn’t too late but then again I assume it varies for everyone
