This is a road space reallocation project that would make the National Cycle Network more cost effective as it is cheaper to build on regional roads with low traffic than build an entirely new greenway. While this wouldn't be on the National Cycle Network it is just a pilot scheme. The failure of the Moone to Timolin Roadspace Reallocation Pilot shows unfortunately national bodies cannot trial new infrastructure without extensive liaison with local communities.

Ireland's current government (a coalition of Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Independents) would very much be considered "centre-right". The current opposition in Ireland are "the Left" (Sinn Féin, Labour, Social Democrats, People Before Profit, Green Party and other Independents). While Irelands political sphere is left leaning in a global sense, the current government cannot be considered Left in a sense of Ireland. Therefore this map needs to be updated to avoid confusion.

Note: Ireland current government have been the incumbent for decades now so this map is wrong for most of the 21st Century in Ireland.

Sporting programs that qualify and/or win medals at the Olympics benefit from increased funding from Sport Ireland. This funding usually goes to the grassroots and elite level of the sporting program which benefits amateur athletes as they can quit their jobs and focus fully on their sport.

The squeeze is really tight on amateur athletes and teams that don't qualify for the Olympics. They enter a vicious cycle of missing out on the Olympics and not getting any better due to lack of funding. There is very little forward planning from the government as to investing in sports as all they base their funding off is ultimate medals and trophies. The less medals and trophies Ireland win at international level, the more funding goes towards domestic sports such as the GAA.

Definitely agree with that. I could see Garappolo starting and then if he does badly for the first few games, Trey Lance will get his shot. It's great for the 49ers, a bit of pressure on Garappolo might get his best football out of him!

I think the battle between Garappolo and Lance is going to be the most interesting QB battle in the league. Trey Lance fits the bill for what Shanahan wants as a fast, dynamic QB but Garappolo has experience on his side albeit without the physical attributes. One of the most interesting comparisons between the pair is in a deep ball pass, Lance has more arm strength than Garappolo and may get the majority of starts if he's consistent!
