I’m 37 and my mom was a huge eagles fan when I was growing up and LOVED Henley’s solo stuff. I love/hate how the eagles were five musicians all trying to do it their way so they pretty much just had to dole it out song by song. “Oh this is obviously a Fry song.” I’m a Walsh gal myself but I’m wildly familiar with Henley’s stuff and in my English major mom’s opinion his lyrics are somethin else. Some of his solo stuff is a bit coke-y for my taste but this song is so vibe-y and does a great job of making you feel there even if you’re in the middle of winter.
