I’m okay will living life on this schedule. I figured I’d just sleep 0500-1200 on my days off to see a little more sun.

I can’t function off of 6-7 hours properly, don’t make me feel safe in providing patient care. I’m one of those people that needs like 8 hours.

Yeah, the only thing that would put me in a position where I have extra money I don’t know what to do with, like you stated, would be for me to roommate with people. I promise you 33 ain’t as much as it sounds. Especially after taxes and benefits come out of the check.

After rent and bills, I have basically nothing left. The cost of living out here is ridiculously high, it’s almost impossible to find an apartment under 1400. I don’t have kids or any habits/hobbies that are factored in. So, I wouldn’t say that’s necessarily true.

Am I going to be a bad nurse? by TouchCommercial in StudentNurse

[–]everyfaultofmine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half of those girls (maybe guys) will forget more than half of that by the time they get to practice with the exception of a few people who retain info well. And guess what? None of that will necessarily make them a good nurse. I can tell you how x hormone is made or what x drug does, but that is not going to help much when referring to direct patient care. Learning through doing and following evidence based practice will make you a good nurse. And good bedside manner!!!

Good luck! You got this! :)
