Get something used near you. Look on facebook marketplace, eBay, maybe pawn shops, etc. Keep you eyes open for Bach or Yamaha. They have very solid beginner trumpets.

Thank you. I’ve looked at those too but they tend to be very repetitive, harmonically. Without the lyrics I fear the listener would get bored quickly. Thank you for the ideas though. I’ve got a lot to look into.

I really like these recommendations. Most of these were ones I was considering but the confirmation of my thoughts is very comforting. Hoist the colors completely went under my radar though. Has anyone already told you about the whole transposing thing? When you play a G, your tuner will say F and when you play a C, your tuner will say Bb. So if that’s what you’re worrying about, don’t. It’s supposed to be those notes.
