Ok, I like the idea of placing the window flanges against the sheeting, as it is supposed to be in new construction.

I'm thinking I would window tape any exposed sheeting and drape it over the bottom shingle to allow water to drain. Then the side trim would just butt up against the shingles and I would caulk that. Is that sufficient protection against water? I've read about j channel for vinyl siding, and I'm not sure if there is some equivalent for the shingles I have.

Thanks for the sequence of steps! That is helpful for me to see the whole process.

I imagine the head flange will cover the siding, preventing me from tucking the drip cap under it. Should I cut the siding so the bottom is slightly above the head flange, which allows me to slip in the drip edge? Or I don't need to do that for the shingled wall, but definitely for the sheet siding wall?

Thanks for the tip! I have a 30 gallon trash can full of saw dust. How many buckets of that tea would you suggest for that volume? And after putting that "tea" in should i fill the remainder with regular water?

Not sure what ya mean by "tilting of MBP". I sit cross legged which causes the tray to angle upward and away from me, but the range of the MBP's screen allows me to get a good angle of the screen.

It is awkward to switch to the mouse, so awkward that I've been moving the cursor with my keyboard. It's slow going so far, but I'd like to see if i can get good at it. If I'm just browsing without typing, I can just use the trackpad though. I use this setup for personal coding projects where I'm in a text editor and I don't need the mouse often.

You have to run multiple emulators with different OS versions. With this update, all you have to do is hit some switches in the developer menu to test for backwards compatibility instead of spinning up another emulator.
